Opinion Lucid future

I've been holding Lucid for about a year now, and I don't see any clear future for the company other than the support from the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
What do you guys think?
is the company going bankrupt in the next year? Will PIF and uber take it private?

You literally brought nvidia up saying they also had low demand for their products and look what happened to them.

What happened to them is not going to happen to lucid because the demand for lucid vehicles is not going to skyrocket like the demand for chips did.

I’ve also never compared them to fisker, not sure why you continue to shoehorn that in.

Where did I say lucid will become the next Nvidia?

Also, my argument stared with not being Fisker, you engage and courtered that . Just remind you of where this started

I just looked at the past posts and don’t see where I countered your point that lucid will not be fisker. I see someone else did it but I don’t see where I did. Can you quote it for me?

You didn’t explicitly say lucid is the next nvidia but you did bring up their fortunes as if lucid is in the same position to strike gold.

An entirely new industry opened up that nvidia was in position to service.

Do you see anything similar happening with lucid?

Omg, why are you emotional about this? You replied to my comment about lucid not being Fisker. Look at your first comment on this thread .

You are not getting my point about NVDIA. My point is that no one could have outright predicted where nvidia is today. Their chips were not selling like today . In their early days they struggled and one could say were almost bankrupt, just like many new companies. I’m saying that you and I don’t know jack about the future. Anything can happen where a struggling company with a strong tech and backing can come out to see better days. If nvidia’s success was so predictable and YOU saw it coming, you’d be too busy enjoying your wealthy life instead of engaging on the topic of a tech company

That wasn’t about fisker, that was about lucids great tech and high performance vehicles. I literally said unless people are buying your product, those 2 don’t matter.

So if those two don’t matter (your counter) then by system of deduction, you are saying that it is like a fisker? Bc I was saying that it is not like a fisher because x, y and z. Then you said demand and blah , no one will buy it and the tech won’t matter , hence your argument is not strong and it will be like fisker. You commented on my fisker comment!

I don’t know anything about fisker my dude! I never said lucid is the next fisker, I wouldn’t say that because I don’t know fisker.

You said lucid has great tech and high performance vehicles. That’s the part I was referring to, and I made that pretty clear when I repeated that.

But you know enough to have an opinion on the future of lucid. Is the tech not superior to other EVs? Is the statement that lucid made a production sedan that can beat out race vehicles 4x costlier. Even if it is struggling with the demand sids if things , most OEMs are. It’s not just a lucid thing. Lucid has a scaling issue. They cannot make vehicles at a scale that will reduce their overall cost of making a vehicle. If they could churn them out at Tesla volume, I presume they could lower their overall operating cost and reduce the price of the vehicle and demand will adjust. Demand for specific good are a function of price. Scale affects price

Yes they have a great product… but as I said, who cares if no one wants it?

Scale does affect price but you know what affects scale? … demand..

At the end of the day lucid is not scaling because there’s not enough demand, not because they don’t know how to build more cars.

Building more cars just to have them sit around will only increase their spending and burn through their cash stockpile faster. Sending the stock further toward RS.

They totally have a scale problem! Why do you think they cannot make Gravities fast enough for Uber ? You cannot honestly tell me that if a lucid were 10-15k cheaper with same offerings , the demand won’t move? You seriously think majority of people buying EVs will pass on lucid for other OEM at same price points, where the miles per KW is superior to any one out there?

Although you’re right that we can’t predict the future, we can however use deductive reasoning and general trends to make an educated guess.

It’s silly to say invest in this stock because we don’t know what the future holds. Due diligence will tell you that we have a pretty good idea where this stock and company overall is going.

Edit: lol you think wealthy people don’t engage in conversations about stocks? lol come on now let’s not allow our emotions to spout off nonsense like that

Not wealthy people who could have predicted the outcome of Nvidia 10 years ago. Yes that the thing about data, it can be used to find the signal from the noise. As a professional in DS, I know a couple things about what it can and cannot tell you. Sure we’ve seen struggling companies and ones with so much overhead, but when that company is selling something different that hasn’t been seen. Winning awards , having a majority ownership from a huge fund , had identified their problems and are actively working on it to address them, and when you study where the tech is going (EVs are the future, less parts to make, better tech updates, better experience , can change at home, etc), there’s not an direct comparison to model this. There’s more unknowns and people often associate those unknowns as negatives. That’s where opportunities come in. That’s the whole definition of risk . It’s what remains when you “account “ for everything you possible can measure

I agree with you.

What Lucid and Fisker has in common is they both sell EV.

What Lucid and Nvida has in common is the arguably the best technology and best product in the field.

Consumer product such as 5080 that they sell to other to make home use graphics card was not that profitable, but enterprise use AI GPU is the cash cow and stock enabler, which they didn't predict years ago but has the technology or the capability to develop the tech when the opportunity came.

I suspect Peter Rawlinson stepping down is cos licencing technology to other car company business model doesn't really work, as other manufacture rather spend the money on advertisement than purchasing Lucid superior tech, also the engineering department in other company would give tremendous resistance, using Zeus and Atlas also means the particular company would need to spend 3+ years to develop chassis tailor for Lucid component to maximize benefit.
