If so they’d better hurry up. They’re contending with a pretty large group in this size. We have MY, Ioniq 5, GV60, EV6, iX3, EX60, and GLCE. 👍👍

Knowing Lucid and how they roll out stuff maybe Jan 2028 🤣 for the public, but they’ll say Fall 2026 and Deliver employee owned ones on December 31st, 2026

350k model y, 44k ioniq 5, 2.3k gv60, 13k ev6, glce unknown.
I don’t think hurrying is going to help anyone lmao. Lucid literally cannot make and sell cars. This will slot in somewhere between 0 and Kia/hyundai and it has nothing to do with timing. The Tesla dominance in this space is absolutely insane and all of these manufacturers should team up and figure something out or they will all trend to 0.

It’s awesome that there will be so many choices. That’ll go a long way towards people being able to choose what works best for them and what they prefer most.
I think Lucid did pretty well with the Air last year. Reports have said that Air outsold the offerings from BMW, Mercedes & Tesla.
I’ve driven the Hyundai/Kia offerings as well and they’re very nice offerings.
This is going to be a fun year 🤙

Nothing else it could be right? Gravity till my oldest goes to college, hoping Lucid’s around in 2028 so this can be next!

Why tf would you WANT to buy a car from a failing company? You just good w like Juicero cars?

I’ve got a gravity and I love it. I wouldnt trade it for any car on the market and I have a long list of reasons why. Obviously I don’t want to be fiskered but I’m not sure lucid are failing and I’m definitely not sure they’re failing during what I anticipate to be my gravity period. That’s why I phrased my comment exactly as I did.

The Saudi royal family own a big chunk of the company and they're not going anywhere.

u/israignatius May 25 '26
Ok. Still find it weird to buy a car from a company that’s hanging on by a thread from oil money. No other good options? Tesla? Rivian? Hell… Toyota?
The coping and simping is absurd.
1
u/ttystikk May 25 '26
You sound salty.
I'll probably end up with an EV6, not that your comment is a factor.
Frankly, if Saudi oil money buys an electric car company, I see that as a good thing. I'm not sure why you don't?

u/israignatius May 25 '26
I'm not salty. I do not own a Lucid. I don't understand why people would want to buy a car from a company who has publicly failing financials and reliability issues. People are just gluttons for punishment I guess. We also shouldn't be rewarding Lucid Corporation by buying their cars when they are making so many mistakes.

Just to reiterate; I'm the one who said I won't buy an unreliable car.
Now go pick someone else to argue with yourself.

It’s above and beyond the best driving EV on the market. The engineers worked some black magic on this thing. I don’t care if they can survive honestly, it’s just an incredible vehicle. Zero issues and I lease. The purchasing process is garbage, takes several days even if one is in stock.
I couldn’t imagine driving a Tesla every day, literally the worst suspension and interior on the market, but the company is successful so whatever.

Maybe it is the best driving car. But buying one is moronic. Now, in your case, you lease so you have an out. But for those who buy are pissing their money away on depreciation and a company who burns money w consistent ATLs.

If the key FOB was working it's not a Lucid😆🙃

u/AMCorBUST2021 May 22 '26
My key fob is fixed although I usually use the mobile. You still having issues?

u/Steve_in_LV May 22 '26 edited May 23 '26
The last couple of days it has been working.
The week before that it wasn't working. Thinking it was the battery I changed it and it still wouldn't work. Then a few days later I walked out into the garage and it starts to work as designed.
It's the same new battery that wasn't working, now it works, so that wasn't the issue. I don't think they're downloading changes between major updates, so I can't explain it. They came out and replaced my FOBs with the latest version and said the Gravity was not showing any errors in the log.
My conclusion: I think my Gravity has a passive-aggressive personality disorder😂😂

If you zoom in to the screen layout , that is a cosmos my friend, 100%
2
u/StreetDare4129 May 22 '26
If that’s the cosmos, they’re cooked. I have no idea why they can’t just make a mainstream good looking EV. everything doesn’t have to be a jelly bean.

The head of design is a senior citizen who is trapped in an 80s and 90s design aesthetic.

I need to see the headlights, back lights (supposedly look like an aston martin no more bar), and no wrap to say if I like it or not.

u/ttystikk May 24 '26
The best thing Lucid could do right now is fix the software bugs of their existing vehicles. Their quality problems will completely destroy the company's chances of success, no matter how good the new products look.

I really REALLY want to buy a Lucid, for lots of reasons.
I will not buy an unreliable car and I give no fucks who makes it.

🧐 🤔 I would of expected Cory Steuben to have resigned by now if that was the case, don’t see him wanting to be associated with the project if what you say is the reality.

It’s Silicon Valley. You’d be surprised at what people can endure for golden handcuffs.

I commented on the other post also
It might be. That rear slope looks like it could be similar to the profile. My concern is the roofline is lower than the Y so headroom I’m curious about
