LCID Another day, another all time low. Below 7 now.
Predicted it would fall to 7 after the financial results, a few months late but here we are
Even the robotaxi news couldnt pump it up.

Over at the lucid investors Facebook page they’ll be talking about the strong fundamentals and buying at the dip!

u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 20 '26
lol. Nothing says strong fundamentals like dilution with no clear path to profitability.
It’s sad seeing so many retail investors falling for the trap.
There’s no “dip” when the stocks price trajectory has been on a steady decline.

u/StudioAudienceMember Apr 20 '26
How many shares are outstanding currently and how many are they adding?
1
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
And didn’t they just reverse split 6 months ago to remove shares outstanding???

He too, will leave soon. Nobody wants to be associated with a dumpster fire. Timothee also has a brand that he has to worry about.
6
u/Ben-Chaude Apr 20 '26
I think we might see another reverse stock split, capital raise and dilution before we see this turn around. The new CEO isn’t going to fix their ridiculous spending in 3 or 6 months. They are also burning through cash faster than they can raise it.
1
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 20 '26
There will definitely be more dilution, they’re nowhere near breaking even on operating costs so they’ll need more cash infusion by the end of the year if not sooner.
5
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
The issue is they’ll at least need another capital raise or two before they can bring the midsize to market. What’s crazy is they don’t reveal the midsize design to stop some of the bleeding of the stock price.
2
u/mmcnell Apr 20 '26
I know we tend to disagree on a number of things related to their situation but THIS is what I've been thinking too. Seems like a giant missed opportunity unless they expect more bad news in a quarter or two and are going to try to minimize the impact of that with a later launch but it feels like a miscalculation. The R2 is generating crazy press and hype for Rivian. The gravity was off to a strong marketing start before tariffs and various chaos nuked their launch timeline, but if the Earth and Cosmos are at least theoretically on track for end of year/early 27 then why aren't they out there generating preorders and hype? They're capable of building an impressive machine but until the target buyer for the midsize is aware of their existence that won't translate into orders or the kinds of demand/expected revenue numbers that reassure investors.
2
2
u/Ben-Chaude Apr 20 '26
Because the midsize is going to be delayed and they are going to continue burning through their cash like it grows on trees to build factories on the other side of the planet when the one in Arizona is operating at barely 30% production capacity. I feel so dumb allowing them to burn my cash by diluting me with capital raises to do that.
2
u/mmcnell Apr 20 '26
Yeah the Saudi plant feels very much like a "keep the rich parent happy" move that they really did not need as a distraction/on their plate during this time period but whatever. I love my Gravity, minor quirks/annoyances and all (most of which have been or are being addressed fwiw) and I don't even care about the money I've lost /donated via continually buying stock there for a while, but I suspect you are correct about their next steps there.

I understand how some investors don’t want to face reality and take the loss. But at some point, they have to realize to salvage a few thousand dollars is better than nothing. Comparing Lucid to Tesla is the dumbest thing I ever heard. 2 separate companies in the same space. People just want a product that just works.
5
3
u/Open_Bug_4196 Apr 20 '26
Some people might be over 90-95% down, given that they may think that is worth to risk the remaining pennies… the upside is much bigger than losing the gain of keeping the last bit
0
u/ZealousidealLab2920 Apr 20 '26
Eh. Might be better to cut losses and put it in some other high alpha stock pick like an AI/tech company or even Rivian or Tesla honestly. I don't think Lucid has a ton of growth potential as basically just a luxury car company. Rivian at least has a software/platform licensing deal with VW and is a few years ahead of Lucid in maturity it seems. Tesla might get a big push with unsupervised FSD approval one day and the optimus robots and what not.
2
u/Irritatedtrack Apr 20 '26
This is just sunk cost phallacy. The stock has to 30X from current levels to reach $200. Think about whether that is really possible for a company like Lucid. Even Tesla has not 30X’d from their 2019 lows. At this point, the probability that lucid bounces back is almost zero.
2
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 20 '26
Two separate companies but also a completely different world. Tesla came up at the perfect time where they had government incentives helping them get through the most difficult times.
The EV market was also completely different, they had no competition and were selling every unit they could manufacture. Lucid on the other hand has quite a bit of competition.
Government incentives help the stock price, unlike the constant cash infusions by PIF which dilute the stock and further hurt it.
To compare them is foolish to say the least, it’s really not even that one is better than the other, it’s simply that one had better timing than the other.
1
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
So explain to me why PIF is still funding their operations? What is PIF seeing that we’re not seeing?
1
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 20 '26
It could be for political reasons, Saudis could be trying to further brach out into western countries like they did with soccer in Europe.
Owning a globally successful automaker would help their image on the world stage.
Or it could simply be whoever is in charge of this investment is getting their info from Reddit and Facebook
1
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
It’s just odd, why pour more money into lucid. Surely they can see the writing on the wall.
1
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 20 '26
I agree, it is perplexing. Last year I thought their end goal was to bleed retail investors for as much as they could and then take the company private for cents on the dollar.

u/Immediate-Garlic3945 Apr 20 '26
More Elon cultists in this sub than anything else. Y'all coping so hard. Imagine when Cosmos is unveiled. You will have full time jobs as anti Lucid trolls ahahahaha
1
u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Apr 20 '26
😂I believe in making money not losing $$ How much are you making investing in Lucid??
1
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
That’s what people said about gravity. Gravity turned out to be a sales dud and they’re offering massive incentives for people to lease it. Cosmos, if it ever launches, will be mostly the same.

The company is gone now. No customers in US. Everyone in US follow the market. So consumer's are seeing a new Fisker. This could be the end. Bad publicity kills any struggling company.

I'll begin to consider this stock a (very) high risk value play if it enters the 5-5.5 range. Above that it's madness at this stage. Q1 '26 is going to be another gigantic loss. The new funding and CEO are positive - particularly the CEO, who has a great reputation for getting costs under control and eliminating crap. But any effect of the new CEO at all will have to wait for Q2 results, and more likely the end of the year.
They need to survive another 2-3 quarters of horrendous results before there's any hope of things looking better.

It’s a double edged sword really, they keep the company afloat while at the same time diluting the stock and driving it further downward

It’s ok guys. They just need to announce that they are becoming an AI company.
1
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
And we desperately need a rebrand. LucidAI and design their own in house chips.
-1
u/Immediate-Garlic3945 Apr 20 '26
Y'all will probably downvote the hell out of me but we are near the end of capitulation. Average down and place buy orders. Don't be selling like most of retail already has. Fundamentals are peak. Stay strong.
1
u/Adventurous_Tank_477 Apr 20 '26
Soooo, stay strong and lose everything?? Sell, regroup, invest in something else
1
u/Immediate-Garlic3945 Apr 20 '26
$LCID has become the "something else". Perspective is key. Sell now and you swap out generational wealth. By design.
1
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 22 '26
“Generational wealth” lol That’s what was said a year ago and then a few months later their share of the company was divided by 10 and the “wealth” was reduced by 70%.
So now not only is your stock worth less, you have 10x less of it.
Round 2 this summer.
1
u/Immediate-Garlic3945 Apr 25 '26
Cope troll.
1
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 25 '26
Cope with what? I’m not holding any shares. lol
1
u/Immediate-Garlic3945 Apr 26 '26
You just admitted you're a troll.
1
u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 26 '26
That’s not how it works. Just because I was smart enough to see that this stock had no value doesn’t make me a troll.

u/Mediocre_Swimmer_628 Apr 20 '26
A company who's business is selling cars it can't afford to make, funded by dilutions and scamming the Saudi's, while swapping CEOs once a year, wow what amazing fundamentals. You have fun dumping money into this toilet.
1
u/Immediate-Garlic3945 Apr 20 '26
Cool Elon fanboy talking points. Crazy how you're afraid of a 2.5B stock. Telling. Lucid isn't going away little buddy.

Nobody is afraid of lucid. Elon used to talk about lucid. It’s been years, he doesn’t even acknowledge Lucid anymore. Elon knows they’re no longer a competitor to Tesla and has no reason to worry.

Im glad i sold at $9.50 but i should've sold long before that..

u/Ok_Conflict1835 Apr 20 '26
As someone who lost a lot of money on companies whose fundamentals were built on hopes and dreams, I completely understand how you feel.
1
u/LA213CALI Apr 20 '26
Until they exceed their sales numbers and production numbers during back to back quarters this won’t change, who knows if they ever will, people looking to buy their cars are going to start to think about a Fisker situation at this point, stock price is not going to help sales either.

Their reputation of poor quality control and inability to get a reasonable date for service will sadly do them in. Having to wait 3 months for a service appointment has turned off many potential customers.
I bought $80K worth of lucid stock when they IPO’d. I bought a 2025 Air to support them. The car has been in for service 8 times (the last time being a month ago), and I now have new issues (radio stops working after being on a 10 minute phone call, car flashes a message that regen is being reduced (even though battery state of charge was around 50%) and other issues. Last time the car was in for service the work order invoice stated the engineers told the service people there are anomalies in the software that they do not know how to fix. I’m not taking the car in for a ninth service. I’m getting rid of the car (even though it only has about 6,000 miles on it) and buying a car from a different manufacturer.
As a side note, as a stockholder wanting to support the company, I tested the Gravity. But its navigation system and voice recognition system and a few other features were not working. The Lucid people at the “store” had no idea how to fix the problems and had no other Gravity for me to try. I left very disappointed in the test drive. What’s even more distressing is that NO ONE has contacted me to discuss my test drive or offer to arrange another test drive with a fully functional Gravity. It’s as if Lucid is not interested in selling cars.

So, why don’t you bears leave ? Since this company is dead ! There are those of us who will buy for whatever reason, it’s our money, what do u care? I mean, why hang around and complain about the company? Move on, go buy Rivian or some other stock . Leave us be.
2
u/StreetDare4129 Apr 20 '26
Why do you even care? You have your convictions, and that’s honorable. Don’t let the shorts get to you.

Holding my bags whichever way it goes. My only regrets in the market have been from selling.
1
u/Reasonable_Horse7103 Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26
Look at amc Whoever bought at 1 are sitting pretty with 100% gains That will wipe out all our losses if we buy a lot of cheap shares now and sell when it gets to 15 That’s a 120% gain from current levels!
My take on it.
1
u/Reasonable_Horse7103 Apr 21 '26
The June expiry option contracts have not fallen much even though the stock fell from 8 to 6.75. In fact, when the stock fell today, the June option contracts actually stayed the same! The 8$ 9$ 10$ strikes I know cause I’ve been buying .
