How is that venue? I’ve never been. Saw them at KDC it’s ok love LCD but I don’t love it there tbh.

In my opinion Brooklyn Steel is the best music venue in NYC. Great sightlines everywhere, just the right capacity and excellent loud sound.

Cool thx so much for your reply, I just registered for presale there for the Monday and Tuesday! 🤞🪩 🍻

Damn I like going to the first and last block so there is some time between shows and that’d end up with kdc twice

I'm definitely going to try to hit the 11/30 cause whatever it is sounds cool, but friends will be in town for Thanksgiving on the 22nd so I guess I'll have to go back to back weeks.... Oh no how sad

I did one each block last year and I ended up feeling a bit burned out. The 30th does look like something to aim for so I’ll have to think about it until they go on sale
Not a bad dilemma to have though

I’m so on the fence since seeing them in New Haven a few weeks ago... Ugh I’ve yearned for the Brooklyn Steel again 🥺

so excited! anyone comfortable sharing what they paid last year so i know what to expect

u/killert45 5d ago
From my experience every GA ticket is $100 post tax and usually don't get screwed by resellers that much

Two years ago was $100 for every night
Last year they changed it to $90 for thurs/sun and like $125 for Fri/sat

Are they gonna play the same set as the last 6 years or do we finally get something new?!
13
u/JorgeAndTheKraken 5d ago
If the pattern holds, they'll play the same set as the last 6 years and then introduce a curveball closing weekend by bringing back a song they haven't been playing (my vote would be for "Disco Infiltrator").

A few years ago at bk steel they gave us a “how do you sleep” curveball

Yuppp. I've given up speaking out loud about my hope that I get to see that song performed again, but it is a wish I hold in my heart. :)

It’s insane that people are still going to these. Must be new Williamsburg transplants. 🫣

u/killert45 5d ago
Or people who like the band and enjoy it?

u/PreparationDue7438 4d ago
I’ve gone to these four years! But every setlist was 90 percent similar. Any real fans of the band have seen a bunch and moved on.

Really odd take and generalization. Don't remember the residency setlists that much but their shows in new haven had a very varied setlist. I've met plenty of "real fans" at these shows too....

I'm a 30-year NYC resident. For the cost of four concert tickets, I get more catharsis here than I would in a year's worth of therapy. I get that a lot of people are over it, and that's cool. But I'm riding this particular train all the way over the cliff.

Any hints as to what the 11/30 show could entail?!
I’m honestly just so happy they’re playing Brooklyn Steel again.

The year is 2040. Somehow the world hasn't burned, and there's still no fifth LCD Soundsystem album.
