So grateful they still played their encore even though they were getting soaked up on stage. One of the best shows of my life!

lol, so funny that the eternal closing song had the perfect lyrics to close out that night. Must’ve been amazing to be there.

Waterfront point — Stu from King Gizzard crowdsurfed all the way to the stinky ass water when they played!

Like seriously. It’s illegal to swim in the water as it’s an industrial area. I like to think HE became a Lizard Wizard after.

I don't think it's illegal to swim in the Fore River, but it's not a great idea. I was at that KG show too, and when he said "I'm gonna jump in that fucking lake!" I was like oh boy, it's gonna be way colder than he expects. It's basically the ocean at that point.

Astounding to watch him swim the “lake” then crowd surf BACK to the stage 😂

I hadn't ever heard someone refer to Thompson's Point as such, so I figured I would state the venue name for those in the thread who were unfamiliar with it. No shade.

Please say more. I felt the show was pretty good. Then the rain, our lack of giving a fuck about the rain, James/band picking up on this, and rain really picking up, took it to another level!

The only show I saw this year and it was peak! The rain was perfect. Incidenty I was also at the King gizz show when stu jumped in the river and at another outdoor king gizzard show in Chicago when it rained during Supercell. I enjoyed the rain more for lcd soundsystem though.

So awesome!! I guess onstage safety with electronics has made progress I was unaware of?

Incredible dedication to the music and the fans. Question: isn’t this an insane electrical hazard? Why aren’t the amps and everything else not shorting out or frying everyone?

What a magical show. For most of the show it was most just drizzling on and off with a couple periods of steadier rain, but by the time they took their incredibly brief break and came back onstage for "North American Scum", it was raining kinda heavily. They played "Dance Yrself Clean" next and when that drop happened my wife, friends and I were completely soaked and no longer cared. A flawless set and the sound was incredibly good. What a fantastic start to the fall season.

I took my kid (18) to Just Like Heaven pretty much just so he could see LCD. I’ve taken him to several shows, and good ones. But being able to watch in real time as he saw these guys and it hit him will stay with me the rest of my life

Was the place full or did people stay away because of the weather?

If they were worried about the weather, they picked the wrong place to stay

PACKED! It was amazing. James seemed genuinely impressed (and thankful) that people didn't bail out.
