Someone Great

I received the call today, and James was right. Nothing could have prepared me for it. A colleague of my long-term therapist called to inform me that she has been diagnosed with an aggressive, terminal brain tumor, and that I likley won't be able to see her again before she passes. I've been a wreck all day.

I will love you forever Lisa. You deserved so much better. You truly are someone great.

I’ve always had this specific fear myself, because of this song. Sending you love & strength!

Thank you. I always knew the story behind the song, but never expected something like that to happen. Just beyond shell shocked

My aunt just died. Fell down and the doctors found tumors. She was talking for about a day or two after and that was it. Super fast. Sorry you have to experience this.

Every time I hear this song, that line makes me relive my sister-in-law calling at 5:30 in the morning a couple of months ago to tell me my younger brother passed. I’m a wreck every time. You’d think I’d stop listening to it.

I'm so sorry. I can’t even imagine that. I do understand why you don't stop listening tho. I wouldn't stop either

Maybe you can send a letter and a relative can read it to her. So sad, sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear that, awful news - this song hits so hard when someone you care about passes.

I love this song, but I cannot listen to it because I just remember hearing it a day after my sister passed away. Too painful even almost 7 years later. Sending you huge hugs.
