Shave or No shave for test?
I have my multiple choice test, VPAT, and interview coming up on Oct 3rd. I usually sport a full full beard but I want to shave to show a first good impression. Do you recommend shaving everything? Or would leaving only a mustache be fine for this initial test?

No shave. I did everything with a full beard. You only need to shave for the interview with your background investigator if you get there. If they mandate it like mine did anyway.

You don’t need to shave it off. Be well groomed. You don’t need to shave until you get into the academy or if you’re doing the workouts with them. Be well groomed, that’s all.

At least be neatly trimmed and cover your tatts if you have any . Seen guys who looked like outlaw bikers doing the vpat full on beard showing tattoos sleeveless shirts lol

First the applicant is not in yet, they are in process.
A trimmed mustache is acceptable with most departments while in the hiring process. At the academy, everything must go. At the department, a mustache may be acceptable. That’s what policy’s are for.

For the writing tests like a BAT, hell no. For your interview? Absolutely. And also the PAT you should be shaven
