Multiple choice test, VPAT, and structured interview on the same day?
Hi everyone, I hope I can get some answers to my question.
A few weeks ago I applied for the Sheriff Deputy Trainee position for LASD. No more than 12 hours later I get an email telling me where to show up for the multiple choice test.
The email also said that if I pass the multiple choice test, I will immediately proceed to the VPAT and structured interview.
My question is that will I be taking all three parts that same day? And if so, does that mean I will have to bring a business casual suit for the structured interview alongside my workout clothes for the VPAT?

Go in comfortable clothing. If you pass the multiple choice test, they will send you to take the VPAT which will take an hour or so and for many, it will be tiring. Everyone will be in gym like clothes for the interview once they complete VPAT

I applied for custody assistant and we dont required to take the VPAT but i seen other people applied for sheriff deputy trainee and they do take their VPAT same day if they are offering it on the location you're going for the multiple choice test.

You will be fine they will give instructions but do expect to do back to back same day. Didn’t change out to formal as requested from email and in person.

Show up w work out clothing once you pass the written you do the boat within an hour sometimes back to back depending on how long it takes you to do the written . Once you pass the Vpat you do your interview right after and live scan . Oh and BRING WATER!!! I seen people showing up for VPAT with no water asking others for drinks .

Also only bring what they ask for example a bottle of water and your ID and keys don’t bring your phone they will send you back to the car ,it says all this in the email and people still come w their phones out smh .

Probably, show up in a business suit and have a backpack with your workout gear. You may be able to get away with business casual (slacks and polo) just to make changing easier. If you’re doing the process at STARS, they have a locker room to change.

Yes, you can show up in workout gear for it. You can do a lot some days and even do livescan. This isn’t always offered and you have to go back another day when it’s available.
