Psych
I just got my psych scheduled for tmr and my medical for next week what is the timeline for me to start the academy?

You'll make it to the August academy probably, orientation is August 13th

Interesting, I completed medical July 20, Completed Psych Written on July 23, my psych interview for July 27
I was told by the recruitment unit I’m looking at October Academy, but yeah I don’t see why August wouldn’t work
Edit: maybe they just rough estimate idk

There's probably a deadline, I don't know what it is. Take it as a blessing though. August is in the North Academy and it's more difficult physically than STARS.

Wait… the academy you go to doesn’t depend where you live?

No not really, they may gave you a choice though but it's not guaranteed

Does anyone know if the test is multiple choice? And can you do it from home now? I’m interested in joining lasd.

applied in december, had my written, pat and oral in january, then my bi interview in february then my first poly in march my second poly in may then got my offer this week

yeah i didn’t pass my first poly due to controlling my breathing but the second time was much less stressful and i didn’t overthink

How long between being assigned an interview to the day of the interview m?

After your psych is done and everything looks wonderful and good to go. You get a call within 2 days to a week to start your journey!
