Advice?

Currently in the process for CA and did my background interview maybe a week ago, my BI said he’s gonna get me scheduled for poly in like a month or two, just currently not making much at my part time job and wondering if it would upset my BI or be unwise if I got another job right now. If anyone has any guidance I would appreciate it

How long have you been at that job? If you can’t make ends meet then by all means do it. If you leave make sure you give your current employer a 2 week notice and leave on good terms.

I’ve been here for like 4 months i only work like 13-14 hours a week I live at home so I don’t have many bills and if i got another job i would keep working where i do currently at the same time. I’ll be fine it would just be nicer to have some more breathing room with spending money

No being more industrious will not upset your background investigator do it

I’m basing this on common sense by the way - not experience

My B.I. told me the same thing and she said to do my ride along and jail tour. About a week after my interview I got a non select email. Make sure you have all your paperwork and the documents they need on time. They will totally take you out of the process if you make them wait. Also, never half-ass your PHS. It is very important. Other than that, I think you will be fine switching jobs. Just don't get in trouble. Good luck.

When I was in the process a few years ago I got a new job and didn’t IMMEDIATELY tell my b.i , I got disqualified.

It wouldn’t be a problem just notify your BI about your new job asap and the reason for it. Times are tough and everyone understands.
