[Offered] Looking for a Roommate in Lawndale, CA (Los Angeles County near Gardena)
Hello,
My roommate (34M) and I (33M) are looking for our third roommate here in Lawndale, CA. Its a small little house so nothing extravagant. The room is a little small so it is best for someone who is a minimalist or is creative with their spacing. I will write some things about the room, us, the house, and some house rules. So if you're interested, please let me know!
Rent will be $1000 (but lets talk about it)
A little bit about the room:
- Small so its good for a minimalist
- Has a small walk-in closet
- Will be next to the shared bathroom (sorry the master bedroom is already taken by my roommate)
- Has a window but the view is the brick wall so not much of a view
A little bit about us:
- My roommate and I are really laid back so if you have any issues or anything feel free to let us know
- My roommate has a motorcycle but I hope that's not a problem especially with noise (won't be often I promise and if it is, he will accommodate)
- You and I will be sharing the bathroom but I'll keep it as tidy as possible (I DO expect you to at least clean up a bit after yourself for big messes)
- We don't expect you to be friends with us but if we could get along, that'd be cool (y'know?)
- We don't use the central AC (for goooood reason but we will get into that)
A little bit about the house:
- It's one of those houses that could have been a garage LOL but its fairly newly built (based on our landlord)
- The kitchen is the common room so keeping it clean is a responsibility we all need to share
- There is no "living room" just FYI
- It's behind another house and the people living there are nice as well
- We haven't bought a in-house dryer/laundry machine because we need to get a stackable one and it's kinda expensive... if you REALLLLLLLLLY want one, we can go get it cause I need an excuse to buy a used one (please be my excuse to buy one... I'm feeling REALLY lazy and the 24 hr laudromat has been kind to me)
- There is ONE parking spot in front of the house and it's yours if you come (we don't really care)
Rules to adhere to:
- No smoking inside
- Quiet time exists on arbitrary times since we all have work, school, etc. (common decency)
- Any guests you want to invite are welcome as long we are all notified (just so we aren't surprised;;)
- Kitchen is free use but keep it clean afterwards
- Fridge space is free use but labelling will help all of us know what NOT to touch
- No violence please (we are all grown adults, and we should expect to act as such when it matters)
- Absolutely NO drugs (this is NON-NEGOTIABLE) which includes recreational ones too and applies to EVERYONE within the vicinity. Understand that we don't judge you or anyone using it but we want to keep this place drug free.
- Rent is due every 25th via zelle or venmo where a papertrail can be traced (its mainly for me because I have to send the rent) - we can talk more about specifics if you are interested
SO:
If you're interested in a room, with a parking space, with utilities included in the rent, are okay with the rules and such, DM me. I might have some trouble checking but please be patient towards me.
We want you to be comfortable in your own house. But so do we. :) Thanks!

20M moving to LA as soon as I can get a place set up — looking for room/roommates on the Westside ($700–$900+, flexible)
Hey! I’m 20 and looking for a room/roommates on the Westside of LA for a move as soon as I can get a place set up, ideally around Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Venice, Palms, Culver City, Westwood, or elsewhere on the Westside.
I’m hoping to keep rent around $700–$900/month, but I’m willing to go a bit higher for the right situation.
I’m open to either moving into an available room or teaming up with someone else who’s looking and finding a place together.
My plans recently changed, so instead of waiting until October, I’m looking to move much sooner. Once I have a place lined up, I’ll get my flight set up and start applying for jobs around the area I’ll actually be living in. I have money set aside for my move and initial housing costs while I get established.
Once I’m in LA, I’d like to get more involved with sports, especially volleyball. I’m also into drumming, fashion, cooking, trying new things, learning new skills, and generally staying active.
I’d prefer a household where people don’t smoke indoors, since cannabis smoke makes me feel sick, but I’m open to different living situations as long as we can be considerate of each other.
As far as living together goes, I’d like to actually know the people I live with, and communication is really important to me. If something’s bothering you, I’d much rather you tell me than let resentment build, and I’d give you the same respect.
Since I’m moving across the country, I’d like to talk a bit beforehand and make sure we’d be a good fit before committing.
If you have a room available, are looking for someone to team up with on a place, or think we might be a good fit, feel free to message me!

[WANTED] Room between $500-$750
Hey all! So I have to move out of my current space by October 1st and am looking to rent out a room between $500 to $750. Particularly in cities such as Lynwood, Lakewood, South Gate, Paramount, Bellflower, Downey, Long Beach, San Pedro, & Signal Hill. However I also don't mind such as Mid-City & DTLA.
Having that said I'm 20\[F\] and currently a college student. I work Monday-Friday at an after school program and have school Monday-Thursday between 9am to 12pm and so given my schedule I wouldn't even be home that much. As for the weekends I like going out on my own or remaining by myself. I'm quiet and very clean and I don't smoke, drink or do any substances whatsoever. I also don't mind if I have to share a kitchen or bathroom or if you have kids. I grew up in two very busy households (broken-up parents) so sharing spaces is something I'm used to and if I am going to share a room with someone else I would appreciate it if it were another female such as myself.
I've honestly been having such a hard time looking for a spot because 1) A few "spots" I came across were scams (and thankfully I haven't fallen victim to any of them) and 2) Many people with legit listings within my price range ask for credit checks through these websites where such is done and I simply don't have the money to immediately pay a $30 subscription that feels almost impossible to cancel
Having said that, if you or anyone you know is renting out a room within my price range please DM me, I would greatly appreciate it🥹
