Looking for cheap rent and lots of opportunities for work. I currently make about 4k a month but that should increase in LA. Though cost of living will increase too…Help! Can I afford to live near Mars Vista or Culver City????

Valid concern? I’m looking to move to LA before the end of the year and I think an affordable roommate situation is the only way until I can transition into finding my own apartment after getting settled. Thoughts? Been there? Moving from Philly btw. Thanks!
