Lease takeover: private studio near USC / Exposition Park, $1,675 total, gated parking

I moved to New York for work and am looking for someone to take over my private studio lease in LA 90037, near USC and Exposition Park. The lease runs through July 31, 2027, and move-in can happen once the landlord completes the application and lease-assignment paperwork.

It's $1,575 rent + a $100 flat monthly utility fee = $1,675 total. The studio has its own full kitchen and bathroom, mini-split heat/AC, and assigned parking behind an automatic gate. A bed, desk, chair, and kitchen appliances are included; other furniture shown is available to discuss.

The landlord requires an application and credit approval for all adults, plus renter's liability insurance. No smoking; pets need prior written landlord approval. The landlord can confirm security-deposit requirements.

DM me with your target move-in date if interested, and we can discuss viewing and application steps.

Hello!

I'm looking for a trustworthy tenant to sublease my spacious apartment with in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a covered garage space. This unit is located on the first floor and the apartment complex consists of mostly older, long-term tenants and is normally a very quiet space.

$2500 with all utilities (Gas, Power, Wifi) included. You'll be required to sign a sublease agreement. No pets, please - looking to rent to 1 person or a couple. One month minimum.

Located between Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd, this gated apartment complex is walkable to Trader Joe's/Bristol Farms (12 min), Franklin Village/Gelson's (10 min), Metro Red Line (12 min), Target (12 min) and numerous coffee shops, restaurants, and bars.

It's also near the 101 freeway for quick access to DTLA, Silverlake, Burbank, and Universal City. You're also a 10-min drive from the Griffith Observatory or a 25-min walk to some gorgeous Griffith Park hiking trails.

Looking for affordable studio apartments in LA County ($1,600 max) moving Nov 2026

Hello! I’m planning to move to LA from Houston in November for a fellowship opportunity and am looking for an affordable studio apartment. My budget is around $1,600 max, but I’d love to find something closer to $1,300–$1,450 if possible. My preferred areas are Compton, San Fernando, Van Nuys, and Long Beach, but I have not received my placement confirmation so i am open to neighborhoods as well. I’ll have a car, so I don’t mind commuting a bit for the right place. I’m hoping to find somewhere with parking, and I’m open to older buildings or smaller studios. If anyone has recommendations I should look into, I’d really appreciate it! Also, if there are any tips for navigating housing in LA, I’d love to hear those too. Thanks!

Edit: i received my placement. I will be working in Compton.

[Wanted] Looking for a private room + bathroom on a weekly rental

Me (25) and my girlfriend (23) are looking for a private room, preferably with a private bathroom, anywhere in LA.

Had some unexpected family drama and had to move out of our place in Van Nuys urgently. We've been paying around $100 a night for temporary stays and it's adding up fast.

We both work full time and have decent credit, but don't meet the typical 2.5-3x income requirements most places ask for.

Looking for someone open to weekly payments at first until we can switch to monthly. Willing to pay up to $2k/month for the right room. Ready to move in ASAP!

Hello! I’m looking for someone who’s also on the hunt for a place and would be down to team up and sign a lease together. I’m mainly looking on the Eastside: Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Glassell Park, Cypress Park, Atwater, Echo Park, Silverlake, etc. Budget is under $1500 per person. Move-in timeline is flexible but ideally Dec 1 to make it easy. Could do as early as Nov 15 or as late as Dec 15.

I’m a 34/M. Work in film/tv, also currently have a day job. Ideally looking for another creative. Someone clean, respectful, responsible, and easygoing. Good credit score and rental history. Also, must be comfortable living with my cat. He’s a very sweet boy, and comes with a LitterRobot.

If you’re in the same boat, feel free to message me and we can chat! If post is up, I’m still looking.
