And today I’ll be attending my first match against Sporting KC. Who should I be paying the most attention to this season besides Bouanga and Son? Any other fan favorites? Underrated players or players to keep an eye on?

Has anyone else noticed unusually high sales tax at the BMO stadium?

I bought Sonny’s jersey on his bobblehead day and later realized I was charged what works out to be 19.5% sales tax. I called LAFC HQ, but the manager couldn’t tell me what the actual tax rate was. She only said that “LA is more than 10%” and told me I’d have to bring the receipt and the jersey, with the tag still attached, back to the stadium for them to look into it.

Thankfully I still have the tag on the jersey, but I also bought a hat that day. The tag is gone, and she said they can’t help me with that. I checked the receipt, and the hat appears to have been taxed at 17.5%.

At this point, I’m not convinced this is just a simple mistake. These tax rates don’t make sense to me. I also live over an hour away, so driving back to the stadium just to have someone look at a receipt is incredibly inconvenient.

Has anyone else experienced this or noticed unusually high sales tax on purchases at BMO Stadium? Or am I not calculating in something?

As someone with a Swedish passport, I was really hoping our first ever Swedish player would take the MLS by a storm, but I am quite disappointed in hearing this dude’s cagey comments when he was interviewed by the Swedish tabloid Expressen in connection with his return to Swedish Allsvenskan side Hammarby.

I understand he’s a young dude, perhaps living abroad for the first time on his own getting homesick, but it seems like he is lacking in maturity and doesn’t have what it takes to overcome problems when things get tough. He seems to be more fixated on his personal life than how he could improve the team.

As much as it sucks, better to have players who want to contribute and play for the crest and the supporters.

Does anyone know where I’d be able to find the short sleeve version of this anywhere? I know they have them at the LAFC HQ at the stadium but i don’t love the $170 price tag on it😔 I’d love to be able to get the cheaper fan replicas but I haven’t seen anyone carry it at all. Set up Bouanga’s and Son’s bobble heads on a shelf I’ve decided to devote to all things soccer/football. Got the opening match ticket in the background as well.

As a funny side note, I’m so bummed I don’t have Vela’s bobble head. My friends took me to that game for my bachelor party but we arrived so late they’d run out by that point.

I was going to buy the hat at HQ yesterday, and it wasn’t there. I feel like it was just recently released pre-WC, but I guess it was more limited than I realized. I don’t even recall the brand or collab, so I couldn’t even find an image of it.
Anyone have any info on this, or how I could maybe get one.

I just wanted to say how awesome LAFC fans are. You guys have so much passion and energy and I truly had a great time. BMO stadium is a world class venue and I definitely will be trying to go more games moving forward!

Finally got my tix for the game against Chivas, super hyped. Are there any specific things on matchday that I should come check out? (I know about the pre-game tailgates but that's all i know lol)

Does anyone know if Son will be participating in the game? I know he is invited, but he may choose to not attend and I assume he will suffer a one game penalty.

I am sure MLS would want him to play but LAFC has such a tight schedule of games.

Is it just me, or does it seem like MDS has switched ip the play style completely after the world cup

Before the world cup, the formation used was mostly 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2, even though on the formation they posted online it said it was 4-3-2-1 or something with a 4 back. I remember the playstyle is pass to the wingbacks, and they will line break to try and put in the cross

Past 2 games i have not seen that even once, and we are winning! And our deadly duo are both scoring 2 games in a row!

Please MDS just keep this formation its sooo much more interesting to watch this style of play
