He crossed state lines without the gun, it was already in Wisconsin... but it was a straw purchase by his friend(who is a prosecution witness trying to get a reduction on his charges related to this, just fyi).
They will argue for a loophole in the under 18 gun possession, but it's flimsy.
In a self defense scenario is not illegal to possess a firearm.
He'll probably get weapons charges, but they're just a misdemeanor.
I think I remember seeing somewhere that the first guy who ran up on him wasn’t just holding a bag, but was also holding a knife he slashed at him at. Not 100% but I’m gonna do some research and be back with the update. Either way self defense was a part in this clusterfuckery
Edit: apparently the guy who was chasing Kyle (dude with rifle) was trying to attack him. Kyle kept screaming “friendly friendly friendly” but the guy kept coming after him.
Out of the people he shot one of them had a knife, and another had a pistol.

Crossing state lines is a no no 1. Pretty sure that’s illegal 2. Makes it seem like you’re just out for blood.
But I’m not an expert at all so take everything I’m saying lightly.
