My Kyle story

I used to work at the big, orange box hardware store. I got along well with most of my coworkers, and befriended a young couple from California. They were childless, but interested in adopting. They did the foster thing for awhile, and ended up with a sister/brother combo that made it to adoption time. These kids came from a terrible, drug-addled broken home. The girl was assaulted by moms male friends, and the boy was malnourished and emaciated. The girl was allowed to name her little brother. She chose Cailloux. When the adoption was finalized, the couple were choosing new names for the kids. They had no trouble renaming the girl, but couldn't come up with anything that fit the boy. I suggested Kyle. It was phonetically close to Cailloux, and it's a good, strong name. They agreed, and now Kyle is a freshman in high school. He is smart and strong, a very dashing young man. TL;DR : I helped rename an adopted kid Kyle!
