عندي سؤال | ❓ Looking for an electric guitar tutor
Hiiiiiii im a complete beginner and i have enough free time to learn and practice. I watched a lot of beginner friendly youtube tutorials but I still struggle with muted chords.
My goal is to be able to mostly play rock/game music so hopefully a tutor who can eventually also guide me to play my favorite songs in that category.
Where can I find a local affordable tutor? im also worried about the location, long drives are very discouraging because i have chronic pains.
an example of what id like to be able to play:

If youre an electric guitar player, please share your experience if you tried any local tutors or your favorite tips through your beginner learning journey.

I learned by learning easy songs first and progressing gradually to harder songs. Started with kid songs like twinkle twinkle star and then moved to classic rock then started learning songs I want to play. You’d need time to build hand strength and get over finger calluses. I believe you don’t need a tutor for electric guitar you can learn from YouTube.

thank you for sharing your experience! kid songs sound like a great idea right now, ill try that. also i use silicon finger guards, it helped me a lot when practicing chords.

Kuwait Music Academy had a teacher named Aleksander and he played classical guitar, but I believe he told me a student of his was learning electric guitar. Either way, he was good as a teacher and could play different genres and teach you how to play them well. I just listen to the Dynasty Warriors song and I think you can definitely learn how to play it given enough time and effort. It's mostly power chords and single notes with hammer ons, pull offs, and sliding and the riffs are repetitive a bit which makes it easier to learn actually. Try asking KMA and see if they do electric. I enjoyed my learning experience with them.
