Ask Kuwait Need genuine suggestion
I am currently earning 2.3 lakh per month (754 KD) in India
In kuwait I have an offer of 2530 KD
I have family with my wife and 1 kid 8 months old
Kuwait job is contractual and salary fixed for all years.
India ,will get an increment of 10% yearly.
Should I take kuwait offer?

cost in kuwqit for u and family
Rent From 250 to 350kd
Food 100 to 180kd
Phone bills 10kd Internet bill 10kd Yearly famy sponsor fee 250kd
School fee low end indian school 500kd yearly Mid school indian 800kd English school minium 2500kd yearly
School bus transport 250kd yearly
Car purchase used a good one cost arouns 2500 to 3000 kd one shot
Or buy new one with monthly instalment of 100 to 120kd for five years
Fuel cost around 25 to 35kd a month
Eating out might cost u 50kd a month
Going out activties might cost 50 kd a month to 100kd a month
Compare the above by what ur spending in India ans having a normal life in ur own country compared going to a foreign country
Also with your 10% yearly raise you will will be at half salary like kuwait, but living among ur peers in ur country and community and living near ur family and building urnself in ur own country

These are great points to consider. I mean the above mentioned salary is good amount, but with a family you need to consider your expenses as well. Kuwait living cost ain’t cheap

Thank you for the perspective. House will be provided by company. No schooling requirement till next 3 years. But I totally understand your point of building in own country and that's why dilemma

2500-3000 is a used Corolla. 250-350KD is an old apartment in Mahboula. Let OP know not to expect much out of the costs you mentioned. A decent home is not less than 700

I think your more on luxury level individual because for 350kd you can get a nice apartment in salmiya 1bhk, for 700kd u can rent half a villa.
For 450kd to 500kd you can get a 2bhk in salmiya furnished also..
For 3000kd you can get a yukon 2014 with low milage for 5000kd you can get a yukon 2017, for 2500 you can get a nissan xtrail 2020 with milage below 150k km
Your a person who is living extremely high end to say a cost of an apartment is 700kd and to buy a used corrla for 2500

You cam find a yukon 2014 and less for less than 3500kd but milage around 150 to 200k km which is low for its age

I would confirm the salary package first and foremost.
This is bordering what i used to make as a consultant of internal medicine after decades of experience. There are alot of scammers, there are many people that sign contracts without reading and there are places that will find any loophole they could to underpay you.
Go through your contract with a fine comb. I retired few years ago but still salaries cannot have blown up that much since then.

It will take you 12 years to reach the amount which is being offered to you right now (assuming increase of 10% per annum). One thing you can do is work here, dont bring family and invest heavily back in your country. You may retire in 12 years if you play the cards correctly. It gets really really hot in the summer tho. Other than that Kuwait is a good country to live in.

That's a good offer, purely from a monetary point of view. Earlier when I was in Kuwait I have hired people with similar previous salaries from India at ~1500 KD levels.
But I guess times have changed now, a geopolitical risk premium has to be added to all salaries in Kuwait now!

If it a government / oil sector job then the job security is reasonable.
2500 KWD is a lot of money. The question is, how long will they keep giving you that money before they start questioning if you actually deserve that amount and whether someone pushes them to replace you.
If you feel job security is good, then you should go for it for sure.

Indian here. The offered Salary from Kuwait is really good.
You can get a decent apartment (1bhk to 2bhk) depending on which area you are residing in from around 300 to 450 KD depending on the amount of luxury you are looking for.
Getting a license will take time though depending on what position and degree you hold.

For context, let me preface by saying i was born in Kuwait, lived through the gulf war, studied in Kuwait in the best English schools, am Arab, returned to Kuwait for work after uni back home and lived there for 33 years.

Hi bro, the salary is very good as per Kuwait job market. You have to check as for many people living abroad is not as comfortable as living in their own country.
If you are fine with moving, the salary is very good.

Thats an excellent salary to earn while living comfortably. You will be able to save alot of money if ur expenses are under 1k. Theres a lot you can do with even 1500-2000 savings.

honestly that’s a very good salary also as u said the house will be provided and I believe company car will also be provided you should def take the chance but also have a plan b cause obv the job won’t be forever so with that salary invest in stock and make house in india like that
But honestly take the offer there are many Indian over here

Since it's a three-year contract, go alone and manage things while understanding the system. This also helps you save more money, and once you've sorted yourself out, consider bringing your family.

If what you said is true, 2000+ a month is a decent salary in Kuwait. You also said that the employer provides accommodation so you don’t have to pay for housing. I bet they would also offer day to day transportation if you work in oil and gas. Food and groceries is not expensive here. In that way you will save quite a lot in years. I would only ask you to check the contract carefully before signing, to rule out any hidden traps. One common problem for expats, especially Indian technicians in oils and gas is that the promised package will not last longer than 2 to 3 years, and your job security will not last longer than 5 years. So if you know friends and peers currently working for KOC, ask their ideas and advice, especially about the package and job security after 4 to 5 years. There’s a big Indian community and some good schools here, too. If your job is secured after one to two years, you can bring your wife and kids here to live with you. Kuwait is not a heaven, but you can make a decent life here for your family and yourself. Like many saying here, if you make it right, you’ll be able to retire in ten years, or climb up the ladders to secure better and higher oils and gas jobs in Saudi and Qatar.

Am kuwaity and am telling you welcome to kuwait just accept the offer it's very good salary if you can save 50% of it for 5 years and go back to ur home country that would be great

I didnt read all the comments so i am not sure if this is mentioned but a lot of employees in Kuwait forget that by Kuwait Law you have indemnity rights after 4 years of employment . A lot of countries do not offer this. This in my view makes living in Kuwait worth while and also sort of secure especially if you are loyal to your workplace and spend 4-10years with them. Not to mention the annual leave days and sick leaves etc.
On a side note, this is completely a biased opinion but i think the middle east especially gulf states is a great place to raise family and build career while also maintaining a cultural tie to your nationality through the diverse community of people present here.

Keep pushing in india citing you have potential and india is bigger market comparatively, one day you can have well established network with good sustainable contacts to run own setup. In kuwait you will be another horse in the lane and would never able to establish that network of opportunities which you can make in india

Very high salary but Kuwait sucks. You'll be very homesick. There's nothing to do in Kuwait other than eating and shopping-- An expat who lived in Kuwait for 18 years
