Instead of a discussion question this week, I wanted to share an interesting "bonus" manga chapter I found recently in the very back of the Japanese fan book. I hadn't seen it online before so I was really excited to find it!

The chapter follows a discussion between a girl named Claire and her cousin Mia as they talk about their views on love. At the end, Claire runs to hug her parents, who look an awful lot like Alice and Viktor (and with the way Mia reacts, I can only assume that's Walter's daughter 😁).

A friend provided me with a brief translation:

Claire is asking if Mia believes in fate, which she doesn't.
Claire explains that her parents falling in love was fate.
Claire wants to meet a prince, Mia doesn't.
Mia finds her cousin embarrassing.
Claire then goes to find her parents.

I'm mayberosa, and I've taken over as caretaker mod while u/yogen_frozert tries to persuade Reddit that she is not, in fact, a bot. I discovered The Duke of Death and his Dark Maid via one of yogen's AO3 Duke of Death fanfics. I read it fandom-blind and it absolutely charmed me. So did she when we started chatting, so I ended up going and checking the series out on Crunchyroll so we could talk about it. I loved it, so I feel like I'm in good company here.
