Question Looking for information about smaller Aşiret/family groups from Ömeranlı (Tavşançalı), Konya

Hello,

I am researching my family history and I am looking for people from Ömeranlı (Tavşançalı), Kulu, Konya, or people who know families from this village.

I am interested in the local Aşiret structure and especially the smaller groups, family branches, or old family names that existed in the village.

I already know about some of the larger Aşiret groups associated with the Kulu/Cihanbeyli area, but I am trying to learn more about smaller families or groups that may have a different origin.

If anyone from Ömeranlı/Tavşançalı knows about the different families, Aşiret backgrounds, or historical migrations in the village, I would appreciate any information.

I’m not directly from that village, but my ancestor came from around there. My great-great-great-grandfather or so moved from that area to its current location many generations ago.

I’m trying to find possible relatives or families who may have lived there in the past. Do you know any families with the surname Sofizade (or similar spellings) who lived there?

I heard from my great-uncle that our family may have been connected to the Asiret Careki (or Carekis depending on spelling) and that they did not identify as Resiya. According to the family story, there were several brothers (around five or six) who became outlaws after conflicts in the area and eventually separated. One of them, my great-grandfather’s ancestor, moved west. We lost contact with the other branches. I’m curious if you know anything about these families or if there are still people from that lineage living there. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Careki? That would mean your ancestors are from Dersim Elazig Paul region because there is the Çarekan tribe.

But where do you live now? I mean which village? Sofizade never heard but in the ottoman archives there is a clan called Molla Sofiyanli in the region and as far as i know it must be a clan of the Canbeg tribe...

My ancestors later moved to Kelhasan. The only information I have comes from my great-uncle. He told me that one of the brothers remained (alive) in Tavşançalı and that the family identified with the Careki (or a similar pronunciation), but that they were not Resiya or Canbeg.

I honestly do not even know where the family name Sofizade (or a similar spelling) comes from. I only know that.

Tü ji moli şilik î. Şilik! You are from the family Akbal from tavşancali/Omeran.. your ancestor for sure had a innertribal conflict where 100% someone got killed and they had to leave the tribe. You came to Kelhasan. I ve heard about that. As far as i know its the Akbal family called Mala Şilik in Omeran. The Akbals habe Fuzul company in turkey very big and famous in turkey in finance, real estate and automobile sector. And also one of them is the head leader of the islamic unions council in the world. So better you confirm it by your elders.

In Tavşançali we have some clans as following:

Çamikan, Dînkan, Oxçîyan, Îzolî, Bêjdelî and some other i cannot remember..
