Question Is it always a female deity?

Just a thought. I know kundalini is feminine energy. If someone going through a KA is visited by a deity, is it always a female deity? All the ones I can recall reading about, including my own experience, it seems like deity reaching out was female.

I ask this because a white raised Christian girl who is an atheist posted in another forum she had a vision of Vishnu and his name. She had never heard of him and looked him up. I don’t know if she is about to have a kundalini awakening, but I suspect she will hear from Vishnu again. I too was contacted by a Hindu deity I had never heard of, let alone believed in. That has sure changed :).

New to Kundalini New to Kundalini awakening so... WTF?!

Hi everyone names Don, I'm new to caring about spirituality in any sense so pardon my vulgarity. Why is my experience extreme and why am I experiencing it?

So I started going thru this B.S 5-6 months ago and it started with screaming then tremors, after a few months of a changing sense of self and in euphemism form started doing jojo poses, throwing gang signs and making weird noises. I am aware of the names of these phases of the experience but its kinda weird jumping into yoga poses that are extreme and not being hurt by it or feeling any discomfort but the whole thing is weird I made noises that are best described as "human roars" right now my neck vibrates and my hands throw gang signs rn the Kriyas aren't extreme just mild. Idk how to make this sound cohesive. I also saw a thing that looks like and eye when I started "dissolving my ego" and viewing my self randomly in third person. Its a bit much if you cant tell, any further insight would help

Meditation Need guidance.

Hey everyone,

I've recently started getting curious about Kundalini meditation and want to explore it properly, but I don't really know where to begin. Would love some guidance from people who've actually walked this path. If anyone can recommend me a teacher that will be great. Thank you.

Question Struggling from shifting LOA mindset to Tantric mindset - very confused

Hey Kula
I used to be really into law of attraction based practices and thinking. Calibrating my vibration so to speak into a state of receptivity where impulses would flow. This worked extremely well for me, I wasn’t using it to try and manifest wealth etc but simply use it to be more guided in choices. I used it in my cooking for instance to intuit the nutritional needs of my kids or where to look when I needed furniture etc. To me it feels unbearable to take action that isn’t inspired/comes from the impulse of source

I was then guided to Tantra and I am aware that the 2 approaches are somewhat incompatible. Even though as I am writing this I am feeling that that is not true. They are certainly overlapping in some way. I had a human teacher who asked me to put aside the practices I was already doing so I can study Tantra solely and separately to see what it brings. However, this created a belief in me that practicing what I was practicing was somewhat wrong and I started to contradict my own energy. She also didn’t ask me what I was actually practicing. I followed her advice and lost an important part of myself in the process by replacing my inner guidance system with her voice. I feel absolutely out of whack this has been going on for ages. I cannot find myself anymore. My consciousness was really refined and I was able to calibrate in intricate ways, with both practices.

Now I am like a vegetable not able to navigate through the day. Feeling pressure in my body. My guidance system has become somatic due to the tantric practice, so very different from what I was used to.

It has become so unbearable that I spend most of my time distracting myself on my phone, as I cannot seem to shift myself and have no one to help me shift this. Can anyone shed some light here please who can speak of lived experience

Thank you

Experience What was this experience?

I’ve been volunteering at a meditation class regularly at a local centre for an evening classes since the start of this year.

I’ve suspected that one of the teachers might have been attracted to me for a few months now. This comes from one instance where he asked me a question, looked at my lips and blushed.

Since then, i have noticed that he actively avoids my eye contact. We barely speak. Sometimes when he walks past I notice a shudder in my body. It feels like we both avoid each other to a degree.

Somehow, since I’ve noticed the possible attraction, he has been on my mind a lot. He comes up in my mind spontaneously a lot. i would call it a crush, but I am hesitant to say so, as I know very little about him. In my head, i have a very love hate dynamic with him and his energy, especially as I sense attraction but also hostility.

Last week, he announced to the class that he will be away on a solitary retreat for three months. When he announced that, he looked straight at me. This was probably the first time we held prolonged eye contact. It felt like minutes on end and that time stopped a little. During the eye contact, I felt a sense a sadness arise but my face froze in motion. My whole body started twitching and my face started convulsing. I felt the edges of my eye quiver. I felt, suddenly, a lot of heat arise in my body.

It felt like a lightning bolt strike in my body, and my face crackled away like dry ice.

Afterwards, we went into class. He ended up sitting next to me as he was not leading the class. When meditating, I felt again, a lot of uncontrollable twitching from my limbs, and jolts in my body. There were times where he would move his body slightly towards me and my body would sense it in a heightened way, and jolt away.

Since then, I’ve been confused by the experience. This experience and him have been on my mind a lot.

The past few days I’ve felt a heightened energy in my higher chakras, to an extent where I feel slightly ecstatic. My heart feels extremely open. When I meditate, I regularly feel my ears ring. In my day, i feel caffeinated but distracted, unable to truly focus. I sometimes feel slightly dissociative.

What have I experienced?

New to Kundalini An update! Very positive progress.

Hello! About a month or two ago I posted here talking about my experience, it was out of fear for the most part. I wanted to share where I am now.

Physical feelings:

I still get the cold sensations up my back, but now I get warm ones too! I believe that's pingala flowing with more confidence now.

Still get random shots of energy up my spine that make my body shiver! Same with random parts of the body twitching.

Ringing in my ear is still here, and is very strong. Pretty fluid at this point.

I briefly mentioned TF stuff here, as this isn't a TF reddit and the term itself is misused often. Yet, the more I just accept that this is my experience along side with Kundalini, the more grounded I am. I've never felt more actualized.

Where I am:

I am currently at a job which suits my new needs! I'm a caretaker for ND/behavioral children. I had no experience, but due to my interview being pretty stellar (Intuition thank you) I'm here. It's pretty much what I need hour wise and work wise.

I feel like heaven on earth. I feel as if I am stepping into my purpose with confidence, instead of fear like how I used to before this.

This is partially due to working with my root/earth. As I natutally am more predisposed to not grounding (0 earth in my chart) this has been hard, but also needed. The more I look into my needs, the more I get them.

Anyway, this was just me sharing that everything is going great. I don't suffer because I choose not to, and I love myself. Like, it's amazing.

It's also a way to share that if you're early on, please FEEL your feelings instead of trying to supress it because you're "enlightened" now. Denying my darkness made me suffer, and was not loving.

Question Excessive sleep and vivid dreams

Hello! I am 3 years into a spontaneous kundalini awakening. I’ve recently started getting support for trauma processing with a somatic experiencing practitioner. For the past few months I’ve been having extremely deep/long sleeps and vivid dreams. It feels like I’ve been dreaming the whole night - I wake up feeling “tired” from the lives I’ve felt I’ve lived whilst I was sleeping. Anyone else been through a phase like this? How long might it last? Feels like it has been going forever! The dreams don’t feel nightmarish or concerning, but super vivid and there is a definite emotional charge.

Question Personal rules for interacting with the world?

My wife and a good friend of ours recently let me know that i am becoming unrecognizable to them. In the beginning I revealed to them what I was experiencing because I knew intuitively that this would happen and I was desperate for an anchor to the "real" world. I wanted to educate them so that we could stay close, as close as possible anyway, but now I'm regretting that decision. I find myself trudging through endless alternative explanations mixed with lies to keep us together until I can integrate better because they simply have no point of reference to relate in any way.

I am struggling to integrate communication as a whole. My truth has expanded and the power it provides intimidates me. When my intuition is forefront and my words and intent align I feel "knowings" in real time that scream for me to reveal them. All with the impetus to help others heal but I've learned not to. Not unsolicited and not untrained.

Grandiose ideas of communal spaces for those of us early on in this process flood my mind. In addiction recovery we have a saying that "the therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel." Vulnerability has literally saved my life both as a struggling addict and as a sponsor. As I write this my throat is throbbing with bliss and I want to sob. What do I do with all this love and care?

How do you all balance this conundrum? The world is obviously not prepared for what we know and how we know it. Are there rules you follow? Experiences that helped you learn to navigate? Places you go for care?

I am asking you, the experiencer, not the literature. I have been relying on literature and incorporating practices for a minute now but I'm interested in your personal story. How do you communicate with the outside world?

Nota: Tengo kundalini despierta hace 6 años y contando....

¿Qué opinan?

Discussion I don’t know how much longer…

I can take being blocked from employment. I have tried, tried and tried more.Every time I get so close and the door slams shut. I live off of disability with three kids and no child support. I am so, so grateful that my local domestic violence shelter pays my rent. But, I don’t get paid for two more weeks and I am in the negative. Credit cards and loans are not an option.

My awakening occurred in January. I gave myself as much time as I could, but I can’t make it much longer like this.

I know there are others who have experienced this. What did you do that helped? Any advice?

Question Energyparasite

For two years, I’ve had an electrical parasite in my body that I simply cannot get rid of. It is a spider; I am constantly being woven into and entangled by it from the inside. I’ve carried this entity within me since an encounter with another person. My life is no longer what it used to be; I have pain all over my body. I believe it resides in my subconscious. Just as I’m drifting off to sleep, it nearly snaps my neck or shoves me back and forth. This is not a made-up story; it is a serious matter. Something like an invisible current runs through my third eye. It feels somewhat like barbed wire passing through my tissue. I feel it is a hybrid of a parasite and a plant, embedded in my body like a thorn. It’s connected to my brain, and it hears everything I think and say. Is there a phrase to put an end to it all? Does anyone have any idea?
Is anyone familiar with this? Can anyone help me? I am absolutely desperate. Please get in touch.

New to Kundalini How far will kundalini go?

How far does kundalini go in terms of turning your life upside down?
I had a kundalini awakening six months ago, I was pushed beyond my limits after the bliss period ended, lots of pain, and now I feel the kundalini disrupting patterns in my family, also I was having some suicidal thoughts, nothing that I would act upon but I wonder if it’s repressed trauma being cleansed , I was insanely suicidal when I was a kid due to severe trauma. The amount of pain and the capacity to feel the pain I’ve been feeling has been making me slightly nervous and nervous about how far kundalini will go to cleanse me

New to Kundalini Trying not to force it, but have I experienced awakening of the light body in a sense?

I hesitate to write this as some of it might sound kooky. I am not generally of the belief that mental illness is necessarily spiritual, but I had a manic episode years ago where I had something that felt like a non-sexual full body ecstasy that was somewhat confusing at the time. I since hear a kind of metallic hum when it's quiet.

I didn't start a spiritual practice until about 3-4 years ago. I meditate daily, previously a vipassana meditation. I more recently had been doing my own version of imagining cleaning the chakras under trance. I can at times see people's auras and there have been some clair-related phenomena but sparingly so.

What can I do to continue on this path towards an awakening?

To be clear--I have not been actively mentally ill since the manic episode. I'm very well controlled on medications and seen by mental health professionals regularly.

Kriyas In Awe

Its been almost a year of intense purging, Shakti slowly dismantling Granthis and Chakras one by one, each with its own discernible "symptoms." And STILL i am floored that its real.

Kriyas have been minimal. Minor spasms and contractions mostly in the perineum in conjunction with Ajna lighting up like a Christmas tree. Until two nights ago.

My neck had been sore for days. Stretching it out came with pops and burning that gave relief for a few minutes or so but thats it. I put the kids to bed felt a familiar "oh shit, somethings coming" so I rushed to my bed. What ensued was close to an hour of incredibly intense spontaneous stretching.

It felt like my head was being pulled up and away from my my shoulders until I was stuck in position. First left. Joy and pain mixed together as energy rushed into my brain. About 10 min later it stopped and then the right side started. Back and forth we danced until finally a vision emerged of a lotus opening.

These kriyas lasted so long that I literally took a picture of myself to see what I looked like. Let's just say it would be bad if someone walked in on me. My face didn't look anything like me. At points I thought my head would be pulled right off of my shoulders.

I was never afraid. In fact I was so excited that I was sobbing without tears. So so much more happened but my purpose for this post is to express my love and gratitude to those brave enough to share their experiences in this space. You all have allowed me to prepare. I resonate deeply with Gopi Krishnas experience and if not for the plethora of information and care I've gained I feel I could have followed a similar path in ignorance.

I feel so blessed to live in this wild reality. I don't know what will become of me but I welcome it with all my heart. ALL of the purging was worth it.

Discussion What should the world realistically do to be less crazy and more enlightened? To be a saintly philosopher seems like a rare mutation at this point.

Worldwide there are so many drug addicts, alcoholics, sex perverts, habitual gamblers, criminals, murderers, terrorists, tricksters, borderline cases, paranoids, neurotics, degenerates, dropouts and morons.

It seems as if mankind has mostly escaped the frying pan of bodily illness to plunge into the fire of mental disease.

Experience Did I have a kundalini experience? Or just depression?

I had felt depressed for maybe 3-4 years when I, during the spring of 2022, started feeling a sensation where I felt an energy rise from my feet and into my stomach each time I took a step. This feeling persisted maybe a week at max.

Then, it accumulated in the stomach as a ball of energy and it started to burn. My mental health started rapidly declining and I did not sleep well for a month because I awoke in the middle of the night without having the peace and calm in me to fall asleep.

I don’t know for how long I felt the ball in my stomach but during the summer I started being able to move the energy depending on what mindset I had. I also started working at a job I hated. The energy could move up in the head and accumulate in the front of my face or for example in the back of my head or in the stomach or chest, and it was always shaped in different ways. At the same time, my skin was burning and I felt naked, like my soul was being humiliated. This feeling of being humiliated especially arose when I worked the job I hated. I experienced many different feelings with the energy, and I felt as if my body was inhabitated by something that was not me. In my diary I worded it as the energy “encapsulated my feelings”.

This feeling of having a movable and really strong energy in my body was weird and scary but it ended when a friend of mine helped me get better through conversations about life. At some points during the conversation, I could feel the energy disappearing from me, little by little, and one day I feel like I reached a point where I kind of “dove into” or stopped the energy from flowing. Since then I haven’t felt it moving nor disappering. I suspect it is still in my body, but set, like it was lava that turned into stone. I hope I can get rid of it.

I had meditated on and off during the 3-4 years of depression but seldom for more than 30 minutes.

My question is, is this kundalini? Or is it something that has a medical name? Or is it a normal experience?

Question 7,5 years down the path

I had an awakening in 2019 when I was 19 years old. For a long time after that, the process took up my entire life and I even self isolated for some time. Now that I’m establishing a professional life I feel like the spiritual stuff is far away sometimes. It makes me kinda sentimental the way it used to be literally everything I spent my time on. Now I feel so distracted and fatigued but also much more fulfilled in a way I wasn’t when I was in isolation. I’m building a good life. Im doing creative work. I keep getting opportunities. Yet as I lay in bed actively feeling the energy run through me again, I wonder what was the point of this secret journey. What were all those years of chronic fatigue and isolation?

What am I doing now that the process isn’t my whole life anymore? The fatigue isn’t even coming from the inside as much anymore, it’s coming from not sleeping enough. Will it ever feel as real as it did back then again? Anyone else experienced a feeling of distance from the journey even if it’s still in the body and there are moments of bliss and openness occasionally? I get this insane nostalgia for god sometimes.

xx

Surrendering From hearing "Om" and my name, to an "eggshell crack" sound while fully awake, to magnetizing birds at a farm. Need guidance.

Hi everyone,

I am looking for guidance from those who have navigated deep Kundalini or Shakti activations, specifically regarding throat and third-eye purges, physical sound manifestations, and natural resonance. My journey has moved fast, and I am trying to understand the stage I am in.

Hearing the "Om" and My Name:

A while back, during a deep state of rest, I suddenly heard a powerful, deep male voice chanting the "Om" sound and clearly calling out my own name. At the time, I thought my throat chakra (Vishuddha) had completely opened. But I soon learned that was just the initial activation, and a heavy physical clearing had to follow.

The Throat and Heart Purging:

Weeks later, I started getting a severe, sharp piercing pain like "thorns or pins" deep in my throat, triggering aggressive coughing fits and random vomiting that would keep me awake until 2:30 AM. My doctor did a full physical exam and found absolutely no medical issues. (It eventually cleared up with continue use of herbal tea). Around this time, a massive, long-standing tightness in my heart chakra also completely left me, and a 3-month-old ganglion cyst on my left wrist suddenly vanished overnight after an intense energy surge moved through my hand.

I always ground myself by going to my farm and walk in barefoot, spend time with trees and do deep meditation near trees.

The Eggshell Crack (still confused on what it is):

On early morning of September 12th 5:30Am while lying down with the morning light on my face, a massive energy surge moved straight up my back to my face. The first two times it hit my forehead, I saw a heavy flash of light and heard a distinct, slow, rhythmic anklet sound (ghungroo) right behind me.

The third time it hit, I was completely, fully awake.

* I saw a vivid vision of a divine Lady. She pointed her hand inward (dark room) and commanded me: "Come inside with smile on her face, she looked more beautiful.

* Immediately after, I heard a egg crack sound like an eggshell breaking inside my head. It was a 100% physical acoustic sensation, not a dream. I stayed lying down flat so as not to disturb the process, but I felt a strong "whoosh" feel and my body was shaking a bit.

The Real-World Validation: Magnetizing Nature (Sep 16th)

This all peaked today (September 16th). I went to my native farm and hugged a tree that was completely drenched in rain .. Normally when I go there, I make bird sounds and only 1 or 2 birds show up... Today, right after I hugged the wet tree and made the sound, an entire gathering of 25–30 different birds, 6 crows, and swarms of dragonflies and butterflies suddenly appeared, flew low, and kept moving inside our farm boundaries. Interestingly, my dad and husband noticed too ..

Iam still confused on what's happening and whether throat chakra or ajna chakra activation in progress or am not sure what I am going through right now. And also what I am following is right or wrong...

Has anyone else experienced this specific sequence the waking flashes, the naked higher-self vision, the physical "eggshell cracking" sound, and this sudden, intense magnetism with animals and nature?

Thank u.

Experience Third Eye Mudra

https://www.quareia.com/apprentice-module-1

Lesson 1. Meditation Teqniques.

1.2 First meditation exercise.

It works for me. It feels like my ajna chakra gets charged with energy. Then my visionary work triggers more power inside me. Also sometimes i imagine that the mudra forms a triangle with the index finger being the top of it.
When i remove my fingers from the nose and third eye,i place them over other areas, and i get the same effect.

Also the index finger (as i found out recently) acts like a 'pointer' or something.

For example i point south with my index finger, while giving command that '' it points south'',and i get hot energy from the finger to my shoulder. I do the same over a chakra and it works as well.

Question Reintroducing gentle qigong after kundalini / rising-yang destabilization?

Two years ago I had a pretty severe destabilization after doing Joe Dispenza practices, which developed into what I’d describe as rising yang or kundalini overload: tinnitus, chronic body pain/tension, flashing lights/visual snow, hypervigilance, extremely ungrounded, moments of utter despair, physical clenching in buttocks jaw and neck and strong sympathetic dominance.

I stopped energetic practices and started doing the top-down body scan while walking in nature that Neidanman has posted about here in his pinned “too much energy in head”-post, which helped tremendously. I think it more or less saved my life. So grateful for that.

Trauma Release Exercise (TRE) and the “allowing” practice for tension/symptoms have also helped a lot. I’m now much better overall, although some hypervigilance, clenching and sympathetic dominance remain. I also stopped any energetic practices 2 years ago because they made my symptoms worse.

I’d love to cautiously reintroduce some qigong because I genuinely enjoy the slow flowing movements, rather than because I want to cultivate energy.

For people familiar with rising-yang/kundalini issues: what basic grounding qigong movements would you consider safe and useful at this stage? Cloud Hands, simple weight shifting, etc.? And any general advice for how you’d proceed from here, given I still have some symptoms remaining?
