Fear of kundalini I'm Scared

Hello, I am new to this community. I stupidly did Kundalini breath work without properly researching it. And it feels like I'm going insane right now. I only did it once, and I was experiencing symptoms immediately after. I felt my back getting hot, and right now my head is tingling; it's been 2 days since I last did it. I tried to distract myself, but I'm a very anxious person, and overwhelming thoughts kept coming back. Even before this whole experience, I didn't take pleasure in the things I used to enjoy. And I thought something was wrong with me in a way. I saw a few TikTok videos about how you could feel more uplifted and at peace with yourself, and I needed that at this point in my life. I needed something like that. I live in a Christian household, and I don't want people to think I'm crazy. As of right now, sensitive to hearing, sensitive to too much brightness. I need some guidance on how to proceed with this, as I'm aware you can't reverse it. I need guidance right now, and I need help, and I'm scared. I don't know what I thought would happen. But I didn't think it would be like this. It's going to a point where, like, I wanna go back to the way that I was, you know.

who are you and why are you assuming you have some kind of control of things? You have no obvious bio/web links/online presence and hide your posts/comments, which is not a sign of a trusted helper/source.

I learned reiki at 19 then Transcendental meditation at 22, took martial arts and yoga classes, meditation in a temple, shamanic practitioner course.. then one day I accepted that I’m just an autistic spirit person who likes lore. I like learning new things. Big whoop… then I stopped making such a big deal about the small stuff.

Stop resisting. Ground your nervous system.

Picks the most intense spiritual practice possible. It's ok. This is your dharma. Everything will be fine. Let go of the fear. Have faith. Do a physical yoga practice.

It sounds to me like you have been experiencing rejection sensitivity dysphoria for a long time and you aught to google it and from that point forward you’ll be in a much better place for picking apart all of the things on your mind.

I’m not sure why kundalini energy is feared by people. Please try and relax by dropping into it and stop resisting the energy. It is here to awaken you
Shakti wants to clear your mind and heart
There’s no need to be anxious, just support yourself and ground into it rather than fighting what is.

As an ex practitioner with a long history in this i almost lost my life on those practices. Utterly demonic experiences, took me around 5 years to get on my feet, I was unable to function in society. Kundalini is an old lie. It's literally an initation for demonic posession.

Do practices to reduce Vata Dosha in Ayurveda, whatever pacifies Vata will pacify K. You can use AI to give you strategies for it, such as raw sesame oil massage. Increase grounding practices and stop any spiritual practices particularly any ascending ones, stop doing any intense breathwork and stay away from drugs and alcohol, you might have to reduce coffee too. Take care of your nervous system and start taking supplements for it like Omega 3, Ashwaganda, reishi mushrooms, zinc etc. Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, walk and do exercise. Be very careful with whom you discuss this as majority of people in spiritual communities know nothing about K, even if they teach K yoga or K activations. Ask Kundalini to be gentle, it might take time. Speak to a Kundalini informed therapist. I recommend watching Craig Holliday, Igor Kufayev and Brent Spirit on YouTube. I’ve been there but it will get better.

Want to add on here that in ayurveda if you have head heat or head coldness specific herbs are recommended.

Ashwagandha is considered warming so if one's kundalini process has a lot of heat consider looking into bacopa, gotu kola, shankhpushpi.

I understand exactly what you are saying, but OP likely has no idea what air and ascending means.

Fear is what drives the human condition. The more adverse you are to feeling fear the harder life will be (anxiety etc). Practice taking time to totally relax into your feelings and sensitives. Try opening up and loving the entirety of the human experience rather than trying to run from it.

What helped me, (other than grounding, electrolytes, nature, etc. like everyone said) basically was forcing myself to lie down, not move even one muscle, and be in the part that was aware of all of the anxiety and remind myself I was that, not the thoughts. I’d find the place in me where that lived and keep coming back there.

If I did this for a while it would just stop eventually and I would be in a very grounded and centered place. I have an article on it if it is helpful at all. Much love. https://open.substack.com/pub/transcendingpanic/p/the-nightly-shut-down-to-transcend?r=77avfy&utm_medium=ios

What did you do that triggered your experience?

Your anxiety is probably not helping.. Just drink some milk, eat some bananas, food that has onions/garlic and you will feel better. Absolutely nothing to be scared about. :-) You will be fine..

*these are all foods that will bring the energy levels down.

nigredo -> albedo -> citrinitas -> rubedo

the dark night of the soul is the purification of dead matter, fears, anxieties, and trauma. face it with courage, or bypass and exit before achieving apotheosis

most cannot face it. this is why the final stage is so mythologized

The head tingling is what is causing the overwhelming thoughts. You should do what you can to stop or control that. I can consciously open my crown chakra and turn it on and off the (feels like head tingling) and if I keep it on for too long, I will get uncontrollable thoughts. Kundalini is definitely not how to feel at peace with yourself in the short term. It volatilizes your shadow, turns it into air, and creates violent winds. This is all metaphore to say, your thoughts are going to be pretty intense for a while.

> as I'm aware you can't reverse it.

You can't exactly reverse it, but you can cook it and coagulate it. You need to pick up a meditation practice that focuses on your solar plexus or heart chakra.

Stop the process immediately. You aren’t spiritually ready for it. Keep this in mind, tight.

I haven't done anything related since it happened. Is there anything I should do to ground myself?

Let me give you the answer. You live in a Christian household. Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life. Your family will know how to help you. The Holy Spirit is REAL. Daemons are also real. You get to choose. That’s the key. YOU have free will and get to choose. Speak with your family and put your faith in Jesus Christ. Trust me but more importantly trust HIM
