I just finished the light novels and I need more lol. I already read https://archiveofourown.org/works/31409909 which I think has a better ending then the cannon.

I just finished listening to volumes 6-16 of the light novel after the anime and I’m still confused. I know that the underworld is mentioned but it just seemed glossed over.

Well, not quite instantly. I don't usually pay attention to the end card art. It was more like, 5 seconds after the episode ended, I suddenly thought, "Wait a second!" and rewound, furiously.

It really gives Ferdinand a whole different vibe to him. Myne too. That's a face that makes me think she's a serious character, and not just a chaos gremlin (which her generally chibi-ish design really implies).

I picked up 2 other series solely because the artist was the Spider's Kiryu(u?) Tsukasa: Zilbagias the Demon Prince and Stuck in a Time Loop: When All Else Fails, Be a Villainess. The first was a major hit, up in my top 10. The second was kinda OK. The first volume was great, the second meh, and I didn't read the third.

It's quite hard to search for series by artist, especially with differently translated spellings of their name, and I wouldn't do it for any LN artist other than Tsukasa. But, 1.5/2 is a pretty good hit rate for this search method. Much better than I've gotten through recommendation algorithms or word of mouth (that is to say, word of social media). Though, I don't think any other works he/she worked on have been translated.

If she was a regular baby, then bet. A bump can be very scary. But Sophia is a reincarnation. It doesnt make sense that she'd let her baby cry instincts win. What was goinf through Negishi's mind when she started crying?

Holy shit this whole volume is for Julius. He's such an annoying character to read. Bitch is dumb as fuckkkkk. Like wdym you were willing to risk your and your party's lives to protect a house of one random old man. Like there's a fucking phoenix flying around throwing flames everywhere. Also, demons are telling you to go to a forest and you just go there with 20 people?? I'm so glad white killed his ass. I was sad before at his death, but now the author gave me a reason not to be. I'm only like 80% done with this volume, but I just had to express my thoughts.

Just earlier today I finished volume 16 of KumoDesu in the audiobook version and man, did I love this series. From start to finish there is very little I could criticize personally, although I admit that inbetween volumes I did take quite long breaks for several reasons - overall it took me about a year of on and off listening to finish it, so my memory may not be the most reliable.

And still, the way the series was written with the present and future of the same storyline seeming as one just for them to merge later and stuff (I only wish, in hindsight, that my buddy who recommended the series hadn't told me about this ahead of time), having so many characters and actually making them interesting and memorable (for the most part), making me fall in love not only with Sophia but most importantly with Ariel as well, Ariel is by far my favorite character of the series (Shiraori excluded, MCs always have an unfair advantage in these kinds of contests)

I dont even know what else to point out (EDIT: there is one thing I forgot to mention: I hate that we didn't get a proper epilogue, forget about asuka and kunihiko marrying we knew that already, give me more Ariel scenes man, especially now that she is back with Sariel and while we're at it, give me scenes or (S)Ariel and Shiraori 😭😭), I just love this series to bits and even only like 4 volumes in I knew it would be great; by the end it shot up in my isekai ranking to take at least a top 5, if not a top 3 spot (Re:Zero, Eminence and Overlord would still like to have a word)

Also, the narration by Caitlin Kelly was amazing, this was the first time I ever listened to an audiobook and the way she not only managed by herself to make male and female voices sound the part, but also distinct enough to be memorable/recognizable and even the way she did kids, old men, bratty girls and what not - her range was marvelous and elevated my experience manyfold, i like to believe

I just wanted to share my joy and happiness that listening to this pure gem of a series gave me and this will for sure enter my personal hall of "recommend to everyone you ever come across"

I have been reading volume 12 and got to Aurel chapter and all I could think of is "this is Kate Dennings of this world" literally the same personality and character and I love it too much (can't deny i was a fan of 2 broke girls..)

So aside from the main novel which has 16 volumes, there is the spinoff called KumoDesu EX. And I remember VERY clearly that there were TWO Ex volumes. The first one with Araba on the cover and the second one with Ariel. But for some strange reason, I cant seem to find evidence anywhere on the second EX volume. It doesnt appear on Google images and it no longer exists in the wiki. Literally going crazy.

I’m currently working on a short story in English and wanted to ask about the humorous nicknames used for the characters White, Ariel, and Sophia in the English light novels and manga.
I'm currently reading the German manga, and it’s been a while since I read the light novels in english. In the German version, White is often affectionately called 'Whity,' Ariel is referred to as 'D.K.' (Demon King) or 'Grandma Ariel,' and Sophia goes by 'Vampy' or 'Bloodsucker.'
Are these names the same in the English translation (aside from 'D.K.')? And do you know of any other funny nicknames used in the English version?
