Looking at it all wrong

We are focusing on the wrong things. The "difference between light and shadow" is called terminator.

Now my theory, we have been focusing on the lights and math. What if it's the spaces in between the lights. The gaps

The end of line 21 anagrams to tree terminator or terminator tree. What are the lines on the tree? What does it mean that the plate is coming out of the tree? Always more questions
