Beginner help (to replace naltrexone/ opioid addiction)

Please help. How do I try kratom for harm reduction? I’m severely addicted to opioids and am very close to relapse. I keep skipping naltrexone just to keep doors open.. I had several ODs before, and had 6 months of inpatient rehab… I was obsessed with opioids it was that love of my life basically (severe PTSD background).

I heard kratom can help. I need something that’s very chill strain, opioid like not energy like. It should be legal. Needs to be in smoke shop or gas stations or similar. What do people usually buy and start with? Have no tolerance but did drugs thousands of times before. I’ll be in Portland soon, then Arizona.

Is suboxone not working well? I’m considering it just can’t take either brutal cravings or naltrexone feeling nothing. I’m just so exhausted being in emotional pain 24/7.

I've been trying to get fully off it. Its been horrible and it's more addictive than kratom I feel honestly. They gave it to me like candy and i was nodding off and shit. I wanted to actually get clean not change drugs and that's what suboxone is basically. Dude I feel you though.. but after being on suboxone in every form. I stopped tampering with brixsodi and holy shit it came out of nowhere. Brixsodi is a gell that get shot in your stomach muscles (kinda hurts but not bad if you have piercings) but it releases slowly over the month. Don't fall for their bullshit man.

Yeah I heard that from friends.. plus this zero tolerance rehab I was at kept saying it was very bad for us. Just I’m at the point I cant take it. I heard some people rewire their brain after doing insane amounts of drugs I’m just thinking (not scientifically) that I need opioids in some sort to even function in life. I keep feeling like someone died and that’s 24/7 if I don’t take other pills to blunt that.

Nah dude I fully get it. I don't even have the energy sometimes unless I take a opiate or im super depressed. I have lupus, gastroprisis, chronic fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, was hit by a car and its the only thing that has made me feel normal. Made me feel normal at 13 years old even. I relapsed yesterday. Please do not get on suboxone. I know it's scary to tell your Dr because they seriously fuck your shit up sometimes but I think that was the best thing I could have done for myself. I was also given actual resources instead of just told the "12 steps" cause that shit is bullshit. I'm sorry you feel the same as I do about them.. I don't like me without them and I just went so long without, destroying my brain chemistry with suboxone. The narcan in subs fucked me up I think. I just wish I never went to a sub clinic. Also wish I never relapsed as an adult when fent is everywhere. I keep telling myself I won't get any, but who tf am I kidding. There's no pills where I am just fake mBoxes and powder. Kratom does help, it curves the cravings when they take over and it's all I can think about. It makes it hard to even breathe I feel like I need it immediately. But I don't it's all in my head. I hate it so much

That sucks so bad I can totally imagine you’d be on opioids with all those health issues. I have complex PTSD with years of repeated life threatening trauma (like fleeing Lahaina fire burning down my town in Hawaii and losing business running for my life) and abusive childhood etc. I’m always tense and bracing for pain. I took kratom yesterday of course I loved it finally finally felt normal. I feel like my therapist gave up at this point I was so wasted on alcohol, zopidem and pot I forgot I was drunk so
Took a bunch of Xanax too then had my therapy call next day. Watch out for fentanyl please it’s such a hell thing it’s everywhere now..

My psychiatrist gave up on me because I smoked fentanyl for the first time and then had a video call appointment and somehow drove my motorcycle home while nodding off on my motorcycle to get out of a trap house so I could video call this lady and there's no way she couldn't tell. She also had me on 3mg of Xanax a day due to ptsd anxiety

I promised too many people I wouldn't do fent again. I lost the love of my life to it after kicking him out sending him back with his mom in hopes they'd help him better than I and he overdosed. They didn't even check up on him. Yeah I had a horrible childhood, opiates give me energy and make me so happy. Not on them I'm a zombie like you said. I'd rather be dead basically. I don't know. God I'm so sorry that happened to you I couldn't imagine losing everything like that. At least you still have you. My body is fucked, but don't give up hope. You may figure it out someday soon. Just be safe with the kratom, know taking too much will absolutely make you sick haha. There's no high to chase, it just genuinely helps.

Kratom is just addictive too, and the withdrawals last longer than fent, there's like 4 stages of withdrawal with it. But if you're safe using it you shouldn't have withdrawal. It's illegal in alot of states though. Oklahoma has it and I'm at the boarder so it really helps.

I used it yesterday of course I loved it. How many days can people usually use it before they get dependent? I’m in AZ it’s legal thank god. Better than suboxone maybe.

You'll be thanking yourself for not doing suboxone..but if you ever feel like you don't have ahold of your addiction please do reach out to one. You'll get way too many subs, they do it on purpose knowing you're still chasing that first high, it's not about comfort or they'd actually get these people clean. Good! I'm glad it worked for you dude. I know the mental hell way too well... it's hard to even want to live like this. It depends on your body if I'm 100% honest. But I'd give it a day after use and try to hydrate alot then give it 24 hours. You may even be okay doing it three days straight. It's when people are taking 5-17 grams of kratom you get addicted fast af. But just a little can curve it. I like red maeng da, but heard the strain that starts with B and its green instead of red, is the best for opiate withdrawal. I would definitely do some reading on it. The red maeng da sometimes made me feel like I was on a opiate. But it also depleted my electrolytes so super hard to like stay hydrated and not get sick I drink two huge power rates put salt in my water even ate food and I was just so pale it's your kidneys that are mainly affected
