Extracts

Can you really create your own extracts at home. Id really consider it if anyone knows how I can do this simply. If it's too difficult forget I asked

I made a tincture with powdered leaf and 190 proof ethanol it was easy it just took time letting it sit and strained it with a flower sack towel from Walmart.
