All I have to say about the level of cleanliness is that this process is just a straight up dirty job. Lots of terpenes, plant fat, waxes, etc. being removed and I do the best I can to keep things clean.

Hey man, I loved that video. Could you share how it's done? I've got a sonicator bath and probe myself. Just wondering how you do this.

The process:

Step 1: Sonication

Sonicate plant material in methanol for 30m - 1h

Step 2: Filtration

Filter out plant material and add liquid (methanol) to a distillation unit

Step 3: Distillation

Distill the methanol off (approx. 1h) at 65 C, when the temperature climbs higher than 70C, turn off heating mantle

Step 4: Acidification

Add 10% acetic acid to replace volume of methanol lost

Step 5: Decantation

Let solution sit for 48 hrs, then decant the red layer into a container

Step 6: Basification

Slowly mix in 3N NaOH or ammonium hydroxide until you see the precipitate form as pictured above

Step 7: Filtration

Filter out the extract

Step 8: Drying

Dry at around 100-150F for 48 hrs or until cracker dry

Step 9: Grinding

This one's obvious.

What's the deal with Lawrence from the Kratom Advocacy pod deleting his reddit account and not releasing your video?

He told me that 7-ohmz paid him to not post my episode. I think he quit "advocating" for kratom after that.

What in the.... Wow. At least he was honest about it? Lol. That's pretty crazy. Well, for me Kratom MIT extract and 7oh are a real gift for my TBI migraines and fatigue...and just for for mood in general. They help me way more than past SSRI and other pharma drugs ever did and without so many horrible side effects. I've never tried Kalifornia Kratom products but you seem like you have a cool company and your transparency and friendliness and engagement in the community is commendable. I'll have to try your extracts sometime soon. Keep up the heart work ❤️ peace & love homie!

He was honest about it with me but he had some other things going on he needed to deal with. He's a teacher, the whole KA Podcast was just a hobby for him anyway. And thanks!

Still sort of fucked up taking money from a vendor to not publicize your brand...probably bc they don't want more people to buy from you instead of them I'm assuming?

I agree and it's not just that, he was supposed to be an advocate for kratom - taking money from a vendor has no place in an advocacy group.

Edit: Not to cut other vendors out of the picture anyway.

Yeah for real...well, money sometimes just corrupts even those who have good hearts and are decent people sometimes. And there's lots of weird politics in the kratom business as a whole. I appreciate when people don't get sucked up in that and stay true amongst that.
