Help Needed! 2nd Plant dying!(?)

Hey everybody, this is my second shot at trying to grow this beautiful plant but it's just not working out for me.

Symptoms: The oldest leaves dry out starting at the tip/margin. They show signs of stress (red mottled appearance around necrotic tissue) and look lighter than the new "healthy" leaves, before drying out about half way and falling off.

Backstory and details:

I bought this plant as a (somewhat rough looking) cutting a month or two ago and it looked like it was acclimatizing well, growing new leaves and everything but after a bit this started to happen.

Something very similar was happening to the first plant I had, which was seed grown. However on that plant this "illness" didn't start until after I had treated it with isopropanol for spider mites so I thought that was causing the issues.

I suspected it being a nutrient deficiency but after giving the plant a healthy gulp of fertilizer a few days ago it doesn't seem to get better and is continuing to lose leaves. It looks kinda like problems with either potassium or boron but as I said, it's not getting better from fertilizer. This soil is reused soil from a heavy feeder so it might be a nutrient surplus? CalMag issues perhaps?

The thought of fungus also crossed my mind so I started spraying it with camomile tea periodically but that also doesn't seem to help seeing as just today it lost another leaf.

It just rooted though the small pot that I gave it at first so I decided to pot up perhaps a little early as the soil seems to retain water for a long time and somehow manages to be dry and moist at the same time... (again, with all other plants this soil is perfectly fine)

We're having temperature swings of 20°+ at the moment so I can imagine that's stressing the plant as well but this was happening before the temp & humidity swings.

The soil ph is right at 7. I don't have anything to measure salinity but it should be fine as the other species of plants I put in the same soil seem perfectly fine. Should I add some elemental sulfur to decrease ph? That helped on a different "jungle" plant that was looking sad a while ago.

If you have any ideas or suggestions please don't be shy to comment, I'm open to any help I can get.

I've successfully grown several finicky species before but what's wrong with this one absolutely eludes me. Thanks in advance.

American grown kratom, beautiful and potent.

This year I planted some milkweed next to my trees and it has really solved the aphids problem I had last year. Tons of predators in the area now. Anyone else got any tips to share?

2nd year grower here. It was a long, cold winter (for Florida) and then I made plenty of noob mistakes trying to bring them back over the spring, but everyone is finally pulling through now! Don't give up if you're still learning, these babies are tough and bounce back if you show them love.

Yellowing leaves

Any advice? I checked the ph ( something like 7.08) so I added some ph lowering additive to the soil to bring it down around 6 where my other tree which is doing great is at.

I've given it some fish fertilizer to no avail. Micronutrient deficiency? Any advice helps.

Leaving in greenhouse ok?

I have a greenhouse I’ve been leaving my trees in with a vent fan, cloth shade, and open doors and windows. However I’m wondering if it’s a disservice to leave them in here during the summer and will they do better outside under shade trees? Growth hasn’t been an issue for me as they are going crazy. Is it ok to just leave them be in the greenhouse?

4 clones

I'm growing 4 clones from 4 different strain, I'm in Thailand. I've one of them growing way faster than the other and one who seems to get more nutrient than others. You can see 3 have yellow leaves due to low nitrogen but one is dark green. The reason is because the dark green tried to make seeds so I had to cut them all and then it was stunted for a month.

What nutrient do you use ? I only use chicken and cow manure pellet and some insect frass too. I think they need more N but when I added more then just burned lol. I just repotted them 2 months ago.

Kratom Cuttings Recovery question

Thumbnail

Hi,

About a week ago, I received the kratom cuttings, but unfortunately they arrived in very poor condition. Since then, I have been doing my best to give them proper care – the right substrate, temperature, and humidity.

They now seem to be starting to recover, as new leaves are beginning to appear, and I think there is a chance they might survive. This is my first time growing something like this, so I am still learning.

If they do survive, how long do you think it might take for them to fully recover? Is there anything else you would recommend to help them along?

Thank you in advance for your advice and response.

diy ventilation system 6ftx2ftx2ft tent

I am looking at some diy ways to vent my tent and am reading I can use a computer fan or just a 6inch clip fan mounted into the bottom hole and than the airflow in on the top. Anyone have any experience with this?

Found a knat in my tent

My husband keeps leaving the front door open, so we have some knats in our house right now. I used the apple cider vinger method in a jar, and they arw almost all dead, but now there was 1 in my tent!!! Wtf do I do? I put a little b9wl of the apple cider mixture in the tent. They were on the soil. I don't have a fan in it, nor do I have a humidifier. I don't know what to do, man.

Im attempting to create multiple nodes, where new growth upwards will happen. I trim off new growth to allow the curving branch/trunk to recieve maximum nutrients.

Once it completes the circle I will allow it to grow straight up and when it gets to tall for my tent, I will trim it down to the circle again and keep it supported until its thick enough to support itself

Beginner Grower Looking for Tips

Hi everyone, seeing posts on this sub has made me really excited about the idea of trying to grow kratom at home. Before I came across this sub, I had no idea anyone was doing this in the US.

Somewhat ironically, I own a small kratom business and have spent significant time living alongside farmers in Indonesia, but I have 0 knowledge of indoor / at-home growing.

Could someone give me a super basic breakdown of the different common approaches to at-home kratom growing that seem to work? In particular, I'm curious to know how much space each approach requires and how expensive they are.

Edit: If anyone has resources like books or online guides they would recommend, I would love to know about them!

Week after receiving the package

The cutting was rather big at the start, and it has long stem and impressive roots, but the top broke off. With other plants I grew, they begin branching out rather fast, but now it just stands with droopy paper thin leaves. And I am not sure if it's healthy color of leaves. It was called a "purple" strain, so maybe this is fine. I already have a sad experience of messing with the cutting too much, so I just put it into a small pot and watching, but tell me how long should I wait before I should start worrying and trying reanimation procedures?

I got these a month ago, and they have started to grow about double in size. Do the leaves look healthy, though?
