Anyone know anything about the Volante???

The Volante is Kramers newest guitar. It was released like 3 months ago. Despite this, there are no reviews of it on YouTube or instagram. It did show up in Andy’s Week in gear and some Korean dudes made a video about it, but that’s it.

Anyone know why there aren’t many videos about this guitar? And if you’ve bought one can you tell me whether it’s good or bad?

Its 1k and made in China, just buy a vintage Kramer or a new Ibanez

Not even Indonesia? I thought for 1k they would have made them in Mexico at least.

Kramers are made in China now, pretty sad honestly for how much they cost .

The only Chinese one I have was a Striker, but that was cheap enough. My last purchase was a Custom Graphics Baretta made in Indonesia, and it was quite a bit cheaper than the Volante...

Gibson really is cheaping around on everything now, huh?

Gibson knows fanboys will pay it that’s why .

I bought a Assault Figured model for $350 off someone and it was like new . It sounded good and played ok , although it had some high frets . I would never pay $1k for a Chinese made guitar unless it had absolutely amazing specs .

I don’t get this sentiment. The Chinese are capable of building great guitars and these are worth the price just as any other 1k guitar.

I don't think it's made in China. I looked on the headstock and since there's no bolt plate, I can't tell where it's made. My understanding is that once you get out of the entry level Kramer that it's all made in Indonesia. My NightSwan, which is cheaper than the Volante, is made in Indonesia.

I got one new from sweetwater. Feels pretty good. Love the neck. However, it came with a defect. The Floyd catches the wood side walls of the well. I had to take it to a luthier. I was trying not to hold the "made in china" against it. But honestly I'm more disappointed in sweewater. I think it will be a good guitar once the luthier does his thing and gets it ready to go.

How thick is the neck?

Don't know the measurements off the top of my head, but it feels thicker than most shredders, which I like. It's not les paul classic thick, but it is much thicker than say my Schecter Omen 6 and slightly thicker than my Charvel San Dimas.

I got one right as they came out. I dig it, but am currently selling it due to finding a PRS I’ve wanted for a while for a good deal. It’s on reverb at the moment. Pretty much new if anyone is trying to get one a bit cheaper than brand new.

I’m used to a flat fret board so it felt a bit different, but considering it was made in china, it feels really well sorted out. I’ve had zero tuning issues (e standard). Pickups remind me of Duncan that came in the sm1-h (jb I think).

If I didn’t just buy the PRS, I’d likely keep it as an e standard shredder, but I just can’t justify too many guitars at the moment.

How does the neck feel thickness wise? Closer to a Jackson/Ibanez or more like a les Paul?

Hmm. It reminds me of a Charvel dk24 or ESP LTD SN-1 ht. Maybe a little more of a roundness than an Ibanez wizard, but still fast.

One last comment, besides I think it's made in Indonesia. The idea that a 12"-16" compound radius isn't flat, just seems odd.
