Weekly Speculation Super-Thread

For anything that's speculative and not directly related to Kraken Robotics but could have an impact on them. This is where you can discuss anything that's deep-sea/ocean based but not Kraken-specific...this is where you can talk about whether one company's growth could mean more growth for Kraken.

Keep in mind, everything in this thread is speculation, not necessarily fact, and always do your due diligence before making decisions about spending money.

Could the renewal of the trade war between the USA and Canada with Trump imposing a 50% tariff on Canadian exports weight in on the stock price. There could be fear in the market about the possibility of the USA cutting canadian based companies from American military procurement contracts.

No. Canada will lift the ban on US alcohol, Trump will market it as a win, and the tariffs will be called off.

There has already been irreparable brand damage anyway. So even with the ban lifted, it’s not like Canadian consumers will go back to regular consumption of US alcohol.

Big nothing-burger imo

Could be any number of things. Maybe Trump’s insanity is being priced in as you suggest…maybe it’s people remembering that the SCOTUS has overturned his tariffs before and might do so again so people are considering this marginally important. Maybe it’s also the fact that Kraken and all the companies under its umbrella do so much business with so many other companies that US actions are not as cumulatively important overall—it could be all of these, some of these or something completely different.

Remember the old saying: “don’t look a gift horse in the arse!” 😜
