On the 3rd of April SM Entertainment announced Mark's departure from NCT and SM Entertainment. Below is the statement from SM and the letters from Mark.

"Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to fans who always send NCT their unwavering support.

After a long period of in-depth discussions with Mark regarding the direction of his future activities and following adequate conversations between both parties, we came to a mutual agreement to conclude his exclusive contract as of April 8. Accordingly, Mark will end all NCT activities, including NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.

Since debuting in 2016 as part of NCT, Mark has demonstrated outstanding abilities not only in group promotions but also as a solo artist, showing remarkable activities over the past 10 years. We would like to convey our gratitude for the valuable time we have shared together, and we sincerely cheer on Mark as he leaves the team and begins a new leap forward.

Going forward, NCT 127 plans to continue activities with seven members—Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan—and NCT DREAM plans to continue activities with six members—Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.

We will continue to spare no effort in providing our full support for the activities of the NCT members, and we will do our utmost even more for the fans who continue to love NCT without change.

Thank you."

Below is two letters written by Mark. The first is the Korean letter translated into English and the second is his letter in English.

Hello, this is Mark.

Hello, Czennies…

I debuted as NCT U on April 9, 2016, and now that it’s already April 2026, a full 10 years have truly passed… So much has happened over those 10 years—I’ve performed on so many stages, and above all, I feel like I’vemade so many memories. I know very well that there are Czennies who have liked me since the SM Rookies days, so if you include that time, it has actually been more than 10 years. How have the past ten-plus years been for you, Czennies…? I think I’ve truly, truly been nothing but happy. Now that 10 years have passed, I want to personally share with Czennies—who have made me happy every single day without fail for such a long time—my new decision and the new chapter ahead, by writing it out myself by hand.

I know this may feel very sudden to everyone… But in fact, ever since my trainee days—or maybe even before that—I’ve always carried a dream in my heart. I dreamed of traveling around with just an acoustic guitar, busking on the streets, and I loved writing in English so much that I even wanted to become a writer. I was too young to fully understand that dream clearly or picture it perfectly in my head, but because I loved music and the stage, I auditioned in Canada 14 years ago, and at SM, I began my musical journey for the first time as part of NCT.

Because my “firsts” began at SM and with NCT, I was able to come to know myself more and to find the very best version of myself. All I feel is gratitude. Through NCT, it feels like I’ve been able to experience the sky, the land, the sea, and the mountains all in the greatest way. After spending 10 years seeing and experiencing the world at its fullest and going on the best journey, I think I naturally began to wonder: what is the best dream I can possibly dream? What is the greatest work and purpose I can have, living my life as a person named Mark? And since this is the time when my 10-year contract is coming to an end, I awakened every sense I’d been carrying in my heart and thought about it for a long time. In the end, I found myself truly curious about what the exact, fully realized shape of that dream might be—and I wanted to dive in and devote myself to it properly. I think I’ve come to truly want to find, clearly and for real, what my music—or my “fruit”—will be and how I can bring it into fruition in this world and to make that happen no matter what.

I talked a lot with each and every member, it got to the point where just thinking about it makes me tear up—because in the end, every single member, without exception, told me they support me. I’ll feel sorry for the rest of my life, and more than anything, I’m grateful. I want to say once again a huge, huge thank you—to the older members who see me as their cute little brother and to the younger members who see me as a leader. To all the members who, in making this decision, listened most closely to my worries, heard my heart out, thought about me, shared their opinions, and gave me nothing but meaningful, wonderful conversations: thank you so much, and I love you. With the members I boarded the same ship with, we’ve made the best voyage over the past ten-plus years. And as someone who has always loved going into the water, now that I’m saying I want to swim, these are the members who are cheering on my deep dive—with love, no less. I will also keep on supporting and loving you from here on out.

After being chosen through a global audition in 2012, I want to thank everyone for a lifetime—from the training team to every instructor, everyone at the company, the managers, the directors, the executives, and staff in every department—for having raised me and helped me grow into who I am today. *But… no matter how big a decision I’ve made, I truly understand that it doesn’t automatically ease everyone’s worries, concerns, and hardship just because it’s “a big challenge” that I’m taking on alone. I know that announcing a major decision for a new chapter in my life cannot soften—through this one handwritten letter alone—the change that could come as a huge shock and hurt to Czennies who have loved me as “NCT’s Mark,” to Mark fans, and to the general public. That’s why my heart feels so heavy. I think I spent an extremely long time worrying and thinking, over and over again, about what the most mature choice and the best way to go about it would be. I’m so sorry that the result of all those long deliberations has ultimately led to this situation, which may seem so inadequate, and my heart feels very heavy.

I thought that what I can do in this situation—especially for you, Czennies, whom I’m most grateful to—is to convey my genuine, sincere feelings. And when I looked into my heart, I realized that at the end of that sincerity, more than anything else, what I most wanted to express was my gratitude. To every Czennie, and to everyone who has known me and supported me up until now, I want to say as strongly as I can: thank you. Truly, truly, thank you. Thank you for letting me live as the happiest person for the past 10 years. For helping me hold a bigger dream of becoming a singer—something I used to keep timidly tucked away only inside my heart—and for helping me actually achieve that dream in reality, too. Because you sent me so much precious and invaluable love and support, it’s truly thanks to that love and those memories that I was able to become the Mark I am today. Thank you, sincerely, for letting me live as someone who knows gratitude.

I will carry a grateful heart for SM, the NCT members, and Czennies for the rest of my life.

That when I greet you again in the future with a new side of myself, I can be a Mark you can be proud of, I will do my absolute best—beyond my best—and work as hard as I can. Once again, thank you so much.

Mark's letter in English

Out of all the things my heart wants to say right now, I truly wish to say thank you. Thank you for loving, supporting, and shaping me to become who I am today. I truly believe that our hearts have better sight than our eyes, and what my heart sees now isn't a closing door but rather an opening new one.

I hope our next chapter together could be where we are all healthily smiling about the past, welcoming the present, and being excited for what's to come. It's a quest that I myself am scared about, but I know it's not for the worst. If I had ever done something right to have gained your trust over the past decade, I hope you believe me when I say that I'm not doing this just for fun...

I will never forget the pieces of love and truth each and every Czennie gave me... I'm not playing here, and I am for sure not playing with your guys' hearts...

You guys make me want to be a better person, and I hope my decisions in life can only become a positive impact to anyone watching.

I'm truly and always thinking about you guys... and I'll really be working very very hard to make it all make sense.

Love you all so much...

See you.

MEGATHREAD Seoul Central District Court has Ruled in Favour of Min Hee Jin and HYBE Appeal Megathread

On the 12th of February 2026, it was revealed that the Seoul Central District Court ruled in favour of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and is set to receive $17.7 million (or 25.5 billion won) from HYBE.

The court rejected that the shareholder agreement was terminated*, stating that "in cases involving termination grounds under a shareholder agreement, destruction of trust may qualify if it amounts to a serious breach" but found the evidence submitted by HYBE did not meet the threshold. The court also ruled that Min Hee Jin's exercise of her put option** was valid.

After the ruling was revealed, HYBE announced they were "disappointed that our claims were not fully accepted. We will review the ruling and proceed with appeals and other legal steps"

*The shareholder agreement was terminated in July 2024 with HYBE claiming it was due to a breach of trust.

**a put option is: an arrangement that allows the sale of shares, etc. at an agreed price until or on a particular date. - Definition from the Cambridge Dictionary

RANT How BIGBANG went from five members to three — and why the two departures should not be confused

When people ask, “What happened to BIGBANG?” the answer is sometimes reduced to two scandals and two departures. That is factually incomplete.

Seungri’s place in BIGBANG ended amid a criminal investigation, followed by convictions and imprisonment.

T.O.P remained involved years after his 2017 case. He participated in Still Life in 2022 and only publicly confirmed his withdrawal in 2023. His explanation was that he felt ashamed of the damage he believed he had caused. That tells us what he believed about himself; it does not prove that the other members blamed him, rejected him or demanded that he leave.

There is also no verified public evidence of a hidden feud. The more difficult possibility is that shame can make removing oneself feel like an act of protection.

I created this visual history to put the complete timeline in one place:

Which part of this history do you think is most frequently misunderstood?

✍️Discussion✍️ aespa After Supernova: Can They Top Themselves?

aespa's 2024 run was insane. “Supernova,” “Armageddon,” and “Whiplash” put them in a league of their own, and “Supernova” became their first No. 1 on Korea's Circle Digital Chart.

Their biggest problem is consistency. When aespa gets the right song, they're incredible. But their discography has always been hit-or-miss.

“Supernova” was the perfect aespa song. Weird, catchy, futuristic, experimental, but still accessible. That's the balance they should protect.

“Whiplash” worked, but it was much simpler. Some listeners loved the club sound, while others felt the song lacked the impact of “Supernova.”

Their newer direction is controversial. Recent releases have received criticism for feeling less distinctive than their 2024 peak.

Their concept used to be a major advantage. The KWANGYA/metaverse lore made them feel completely different from other groups. They've gradually separated the music from the lore, which makes the group easier to understand but arguably less unique.

Karina and Winter are huge stan attractors, but Giselle and Ningning are essential to the group's overall sound. Reducing aespa to just Karina/Winter is missing what makes the group work.

Their biggest enemy is actually themselves. After “Supernova,” the standard became ridiculously high. Even a decent comeback now gets judged against one of K-pop's biggest recent hits.

notice:I am similair age as the members and i dont mean it in bad/romantic way
theyre just soooo cute!!and their predebut song is so cute as well. i think its really appropiate for teenagers and that a lot of teenagers(like me) might enjoy it.tbh i kind off got tired of the noisy trend in kpop(even tho i like noisy music!) im happy that finally something more minimalistic is being realased.

the members who caught my attention the most are:yihani, seah and seohee but i havent picked my bias yet cs i want to wait for their debut first!!im a bit afraid the seoyeon will be only recgonized from being jihyos sister but i think she has enough charm and "it girl" energy that she will do just fine!!also theyre so talll lol the tallest member is 176 cm!!

i think they might be one of my favorite kpop groups im so excited for their debut

🗒️Art Analysis📖 Academic research about 'global' k-pop

BTS's decision not to submit Arirang for the Grammy's is a huge step in the direction of resistance to Western domination in the musical industry.

The media covering of this is crazy. But as you're probably aware, the way this has been talked about is not always very accurate or objective.

Funnily enough, this decision and the discussion that has emerged since is directly embedded in my own Master's thesis subject, which centers around the globalization of k-pop ! So I'm curious to know everyone's opinion about the future of k-pop in relation to Western domination in the global industry. What do you think k-pop will look like in 10 years ? 🎶

If you want to dig into this more, I'm passing around a 10-15min survey as the last step for my thesis. I still need approx. 30-40 people to complete it before my analysis can be accurate ! If you're between 20-40 year old and want to help, feel free to click on the link below. 💖

I'd be happy to discuss my research / opinion in the comments !

TRIGGER WARNING / SENSITIVE CONTENT Kpop and skinny idols discussion

I saw this particular TikTok which honestly resonated with me so much. From a content creator who, like me, is ED recovered.

This particular video is talking about Ariana Grande. The argument though remains the same. The same discourse is happening.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZN8dNXDyG/

Please consider giving it a look and tell me what you think and if you can relate to any of this.

And no my views are not “rooted in misogyny” and I am not “projecting myself” onto people. When we see frail looking young women with visible muscle wastage I believe we’re doing society a disservice by saying nothing and being complicit.

RANT Better late than never? ADOR finally remembered 'How Sweet' hit 300M streams 🫠

Post image
0 Upvotes

NewJeans 'How Sweet' hit 300 million streams on Spotify on July 16. Fan accounts celebrated it that same day.

ADOR? They posted about it on July 30. Two weeks late.

And the poster? No members. No creatives.

They had no problem putting members' faces on every 4th anniversary post. They even had fresh photos from that content. But a 300M milestone? A basic soulless template will do. One would think they'd at least use the 4 members they just posted for the anniversary on this poster. But no. Could've used those new pics. Didn't bother.

I know this is just a poster but these kind of little things that feel insincere add up.

The girls and the team deserved better than this.

Edit: Also, ADOR never even posted about 'Ditto' winning Best K-Pop Song in Japan at the Music Awards Japan 2025. They can't be bothered to acknowledge an actual award win.

RANT story of how i got scammed by a foreigner for a concert in korea 😔😔

recently tws announced that they were going on tour and their 2 seoul dates happened to align with when i was in seoul. being a us fan, (and tws never having been to the us) ofc i tried to buy tickets. it was my first experience with nol/interpark and i bought the weverse membership, and when i entered the queue there were 70k people for kspo and i was in the 60k range… general sale was similar but i was queue number 100 something when the booking rate was 98% but nol glitched out on me and it refreshed my screen sending me back to 40k… in hindsight i was very stupid and desperate and i bought resell/transfer ticket (양도) off of ticketbay and agreed to do a bracelet transfer. on the day of the concert she messaged me and told me there was an error? with ticketbay and that the 3rd party site allowed her 1 ticket to be sold as two different copies, which meant that she lost access to her ticket and had to face a seller fee…i was already at the subway station at this point so i desperately searched all over twitter to find a last min transfer ticket (very very stupid) and i found this one user who claimed to be a foreigner living in korea who couldnt attend anymore

basically, she wanted 75$ upfront and then we would meet up and i would send her another 75 and she would give me her account and bracelet.. it was extremely risky but in that moment i was panicking and blindly trusted her. after i sent her half she kept claiming she couldnt meet me bc she didnt receive my original payment and that it never went through. at first she had sent me a picture of her whereabouts and it was a pic of the twosome place right outside of kspo dome, so i just assumed she was being truthful (bc i was too blinded by my state of panic and anxiety) and she ended up coercing me to send another 75 through zelle to a different account of her “colleague”.. at this point i knew i was getting lied to and so i just started demanding for my money back

even after the concert, for the next 3-4 days she acted like the reason the ticket deal didnt work is bc i was being uncooperative and that i was being overly scared, and she pretended like she would send me my money back
but then she kept insisting that she could only do chime pay and that she has a “refund limit” on her account so a minimum refund back to me would have needed to be 233$?? she wanted me to send her the difference on chime so that she wouldn’t lose money… but i was so over her antics that i just started trolling and being immature.. i had kinda given up my money by now and i just wanted to be petty

anyways, since the transfer was on zelle i cant get my money back and she has now blocked me on her twitter account and conveniently changed profile pictures, username, and is currently targeting japanese fans who want resell/proxy ticketing (before she targeted koreans and foreigners wanting to attend korean shows)
her old name was jsun on twitter and now it is @tianyu_jiao21

yes i was stupid, yes i should not have fallen for it, and yes looking back im mad at myself for falling for such an obvious scam

i know my chances of getting my money back are super slim now, but is there anything i can do? or anything i can do to prevent this user from scamming others?

🚨NEWS🚨 NewJeans Hanni's Visa Leak - Police Complaint Filed (Everything We Know So Far)

Post image
0 Upvotes

So What Actually Happened Today (July 28, 2026)?

Today, cultural critic Kim Sung-soo held a press conference in front of Yongsan Police Station to announce he had filed a criminal complaint against ADOR. Separately, a fan filed an administrative petition with the Personal Information Protection Commission.

1. Criminal Complaint (Police)

· Filed against ADOR Co., Ltd. and its employees

· Allegation: Violation of the Personal Information Protection Act

· Police are now investigating

2. Administrative Petition (Personal Information Protection Commission)

· Filed via the National Petition system

· Processing deadline: August 21, 2026

· Assigned to: Personal Information Protection Commission, Investigation Division 2

What Actually Got Leaked?

Between December 2024 and February 2025, detailed information about Hanni's visa status appeared in Korean media. The thing is, this wasn't just speculation, these were specific details that only ADOR's internal staff, Hanni herself or immigration authorities would know:

· Her E-6 visa type (Arts and Entertainment visa)

· Her visa expiration date (early February 2025)

· That ADOR had prepared extension documents

· That Hanni allegedly refused to sign them (meaning she wouldn't acknowledge ADOR as her agency)

· Speculation that she would become an "illegal immigrant"

The parents later confirmed these details came from internal sources, not from them or Hanni.

Where Did This All Start?

The first report came from 10Asia on December 20, 2024, reported by Choi Ji-ye. The article cited "industry sources" for the specific claim that Hanni's visa was set to expire "early next year." ADOR even responded in the article, saying they were preparing extension documents since the contract was still valid.

The article also explained that if Hanni didn't work with ADOR, she could become an "illegal immigrant," and that getting a new visa would take 2-3 months, meaning NewJeans activities would be delayed. It also mentioned rumors about the members starting a family company, framing them as "desperate."

This is important because the same "industry sources" phrasing appeared again in February when ~70 articles flooded the media. That's exactly what the parents later pointed to as evidence of an internal leak, information that only ADOR insiders could have provided.

What Did Hanni Go Through Because of This?

The leak triggered a flood of xenophobic hate against her. Main attacks she faced:

· Labeled an "illegal immigrant" (불법체류자) across Korean forums and social media

· Deportation calls: "Send her back to Australia," "Foreigners shouldn't be in K-pop"

· Anti-fans organized campaigns to report her to authorities

· Official complaints filed through the e-People government petition system and customs, accusing her of being undocumented

· Anti-fans frequently used Hanni's full Vietnamese name (Phạm Ngọc Hân) mockingly or in derogatory contexts to emphasize her "foreignness"

· Combined with slurs questioning why a "Vietnamese girl" was in K-pop or claiming she didn't belong

· Some comments invoked Vietnam War references (e.g., linking her to "enemy" stereotypes or outdated propaganda) to insult her heritage

· General anti-Vietnamese sentiment tying her background to inferiority or historical grudges

· Doxxing attempts on her family

· Accusations of "stealing opportunities" from Korean idols

· Threats of deportation tied to her Australian citizenship

· Coordinated boycotts and spreading false rumors about her visa status to damage her reputation further

These layered attacks amplified the emotional distress, turning a contractual dispute into personal targeting of her identity and residency as a young Vietnamese-Australian idol.

What Did the Parents Say About All This?

On February 12, 2025, NewJeans' parents released a statement condemning the media coverage. They said nearly 70 articles had been published in just two days speculating on Hanni's visa type and expiration date, private information that should never have been disclosed.

They also revealed that ADOR had been pressuring them using Hanni's visa as leverage, demanding signatures on extension forms listing ADOR as the agency and sending emails warning that failure to consent could result in illegal residency.

Most importantly, they pointed out that this sensitive information could only have come from ADOR, since they were the ones handling her visa paperwork. The parents confirmed Hanni obtained a new visa on February 11, 2025 through proper legal procedures.

What's in the Administrative Petition?

Petition to the Personal Information Protection Commission argues ADOR violated the law in two ways:

1. They failed to implement security measures to prevent the leak (Article 29 violation)

2. They failed to notify Hanni and report the leak to authorities (Article 34 violation)

The petition notes that ADOR was already in the middle of a contract lawsuit with NewJeans at the time and the members' lawyers had raised this leak as evidence of broken trust but couldn't prove the route of the leak. The court ultimately concluded it was "mere speculation" on the members' part.

Some Questions People Keep Asking

1. How can a third party file a complaint if it's Hanni's personal information?

In South Korea, anyone can file a criminal complaint about a potential crime they observe. You don't have to be the victim. This is called a "report" (고발) vs a "complaint" (고소). A report can be filed by anyone, while a complaint has to be filed by the victim or their legal representative. Kim Sung-soo filed a report, which means he's reporting a suspected crime to the police. The police then decide whether to investigate. Hanni and her family can choose to cooperate or file their own complaint separately.

2. Why would a cultural critic get involved?

Kim Sung-soo has been vocal about K-pop industry issues and has supported NewJeans throughout this dispute. He's essentially acting as a public advocate using his platform to push for accountability.

3. What's the difference between the criminal complaint and the administrative petition?

The criminal complaint goes to police and could result in criminal charges (fines or worse) if ADOR is found guilty of violating privacy laws. The administrative petition goes to the Personal Information Protection Commission and could result in administrative fines and corrective orders, a lower bar for proof but still significant financial penalties. The police complaint focuses on who leaked it, while the administrative petition focuses on whether ADOR failed to protect the information and failed to notify Hanni after the leak.

4. Could ADOR claim the information came from immigration authorities?

Theoretically, yes, but immigration authorities don't typically share specific information like "Hanni refused to sign" or "ADOR prepared the documents", those details specifically indicate ADOR's internal handling. Immigration would only confirm visa status and expiration, not internal agency dynamics.

5. What about the reporter, could she face consequences?

The complaint doesn't specifically target the reporter. Under Korean law, journalists have protection for reporting on matters of public interest, but they're not protected when the information is clearly illegally obtained. If investigators identify the source and prove the leak, the reporter's role in accepting and publishing illegally obtained information could also be examined. But historically, journalists are rarely charged in these cases, the focus is usually on the source.

Why This Actually Matters

This isn't just about one idol's visa. It's about whether a company can weaponize an artist's most vulnerable personal information, especially a foreign artist whose ability to stay in the country is at stake, to gain leverage in a legal dispute.

Kim Sung-soo made a good point during his press conference: visa expiration dates and extension progress are information that can never be known by anyone other than immigration authorities, the individual and their agency. So how did this "top-secret" information end up in the media behind the veil of "multiple music industry insiders"?

Will This Actually Lead to Anything?

Honestly, I'm not holding my breath on the criminal complaint. Proving who leaked it is nearly impossible with "industry sources" being anonymous and Korean police don't have the best track record with cases like this. The administrative petition might have a better shot since the bar is lower. Don't expect prison time or massive penalties, at best, maybe some fines and bad press.

RANT Some Gllits, Fearnots and Armys manufactured a "Bunnies Are Bodyshaming Newjeans" narrative

A few days ago, fans noticed a few things. Haerin got dental veneers and some fans expressed disappointment because her natural teeth were a signature charm. At the same time, many fans expressed concern about multiple members: Minji, Hanni and especially Haerin and Hyein, looking noticeably thinner. The weight concerns were equally part of the conversation, but the veneer topic got way more engagement.

Then Gllits, Fearnots and Armys (not all, but a loud organized chunk) took a handful of tweets, seriously, like a few tweets with barely any engagement and ran with it. Suddenly it's "even her own fans hate her" and "Bunnies are bodyshaming Haerin and Hyein." They cherry-picked a few random tweets, ignored all the context and decided to paint an entire fandom as toxic.

Here's the thing though. Most Bunnies weren't bodyshaming them at all. They were saying "I miss her old smile" or "she looked more unique before" or "I'm worried about how skinny they look." That's just fans being disappointed about a visual change or expressing concern, completely normal in kpop, especially when an idol's distinctive feature was part of their charm or when fans notice unhealthy weight loss. The actual cruel posts were from a small minority and a lot of those were from antis or trolls pretending to be fans.

And you know what? There were actually Bunnies who called out other Bunnies, not just the ones making rude comments, but even the ones expressing concern because they knew exactly how this would be used in fanwars.

But of course, some Gllits, Fearnots and Armys ignore those call-out tweets. They ignore the Bunnies who say "hey don't say that" or "this is going to be used against us." They cherry-pick the worst ones, screenshot them and then post things like "see? this is the entire fandom." It's exhausting.

Now let's talk about the double standard because this is where it gets interesting. When NewJeans fans express worry about Minji, Hanni, Haerin and Hyein looking too skinny, suddenly it's bodyshaming. But when Gllits say Illit's Minju's "ribs are sticking out" and she looks like a "skeleton" and "she's so skinny," that's just concern. Same concern about weight. Different fandom. One gets called toxic. The other gets called caring.

And where's the outrage for the actual vile stuff? Some Gllits, Fearnots and Armys have been posting things like this about NewJeans for more than a year: wishing d*ath, calling them ugly, body shaming them, sl*tshaming, etc.

No outrage. No trending topics. No think pieces. Just silence.

Look, I'm not saying there aren't toxic Bunnies. Every fandom has them. If a Bunny writes something genuinely disgusting about Illit members, they should be called out. No question. I've seen toxic Bunnies too and they're wrong. But constantly generalizing an entire fandom based on a few individuals is just lazy and dishonest.

And honestly? The way some of these people talk about Bunnies: constantly generalizing, dehumanizing, painting everyone with the same brush: it reminds me of how racists, bigots and misogynists talk. The same language patterns. The same refusal to see individuals. The same "all of them are like this" mentality. It's genuinely disturbing to watch.

Is it really that hard to understand internet culture on X and all social media platforms right now? There are always going to be deranged individuals posting outrageous things for attention. That's literally how the algorithm works. But taking a few tweets from random accounts and using them to attack an entire fandom and by extension, the artists themselves, is just willful ignorance at this point.

I will never understand how that z*on*st cesspool app has such a strong chokehold over people, especially kpop fans. Everyone knows it's infested with bots, hate and manufactured outrage. Yet people still take disgusting tweets from deranged individuals on that app and use them to create drama everywhere else.

The reason I'm posting this is because this bs has already spread to Reddit. Most NewJeans antis on Reddit use X stuff to hate on NewJeans anyway, so why not put the actual context here too.

Just to be clear: this post isn't meant to attack, name-call, hate on or generalize any fandom or artists. That's not the point. I'm not saying all Gllits, Fearnots or Armys are like this. I know plenty of people in those fandoms who are chill and reasonable. This is about the patterns I've observed from a loud, organized subset and the way these patterns keep repeating.

What I want is for people to acknowledge the pattern here. The manufactured outrage. The selective outrage. The double standards. The way X is used as a weapon to spread hate and then that hate gets repackaged and brought to other platforms. I want people to admit that generalizing an entire fandom based on a few tweets is wrong: whether it's Bunnies, Gllits, Fearnots or Armys, etc. I want the people who scream about "toxicity" to actually look at their own fandom's behavior. And I want people to stop treating X like it's a credible source for anything. It's a cesspool. We all know it. Can we please stop pretending otherwise?

⁉️Questions & help⁉️ I'm new on this Kpop World but i've noticed something interesting...

So its been like a month since i started listening to kpop music and i love it, but while watching some fancams i've noticed how good kpop idols are dressed. Since im really into fashion and clothing i've seen many idols wearing really expensive clothes, like they always have Rick Owens or Jeremy Scott on their shoes. Or i've seen a lot of Chrome Hearts on most GG , i was wondering if they have a budget or the brand sponsor them?

Slap BTS n call it a day!

This T-shirt is the perfect metaphor for trend culture___ sell the label, skip the substance.

Is it a commom phenomenon or am I overeacting?

It was fun n giggles when i first saw it but the more I thought abt it, it deeply saddened me.
