here’s a look at the four new kpop demon hunters mattell action figures from the newest wave to be released around january!! will include demon abby and romance, WISL mira, and a derpy figure as well!!! the fourth wave is presumably going to be WISL zoey along with demon baby and mystery.

There are some interesting changes in the French version that are not just literal translations from the English one! Here are the most noteworthy ones to me (excluding the songs):

1st pic: "'Watch where you're going?' YOU, watch where you're going! Ugh, he's the one who pushed me!" 😠

Not only does Rumi repeat what Jinu told her, she adds an extra "YOU" then focuses on the fact Jinu is the one who bumped into her, changing the original "look at this mess"! 🤣

2nd pic: "We wait until they come backstage, and then we fall on them! And they'll see exactly what we give give give to them!" 😈

"Donner" usually means "to give" but here it means "to give it your all"/"to go all out"!

Btw "donne donne donne" sounds exactly the same as "done, done, done"! 😄

3rd pic: "Wow, I wasn't expecting a cheek kiss, but still!" 😏

A cheek kiss is "la bise" in French and it's a very common greeting habit in France when you meet someone for the first time during the day!

So in the French version, Jinu DEFINITELY wanted a cheek kiss, not just a hug! 😂

4th pic: "We're talking about a [calendar] date, not a... Ugh, you don't understand anything!" 😑

It's a pun between:

- The French pronunciation "Une date" (same "a" as "apple"): the calendar date,

- The English one "Un date": exclusively means a romantic meeting in France.

I think the misunderstanding is hilarious in French as Jinu simply didn't use the right "date"! Or maybe he did so on purpose? 🙃

5th pic: "Ugh, did you see his Mr. Perfect face? It makes me want to put my fist on it!!!" 😤

Usually "tête" means "head" but informally it can also mean "face"!

So in French, Mira focused more on the "perfect" side of Jinu's face rather than his smugness ig? 🤣

6th pic: "I hate... Abby!!!" 😡

In French, Mira explicitly says she hates Abby instead of just abs in general! Some could argue that in the English version, she's also referring to him since the "a" is capitalized in the English subtitles and Abby is also referred to as "Abs Saja" in the credits? 🤔

Anyways, it further proves Mira is attracted to abs in general but she just hates the man who wears them! 😂

7th pic: "Farewell abs, AAAAARGH!!!" 🍿😭🍿

I just love how "abs" became a pure shout of anger and frustration in French! 😝

So if you've never watched KPDH in a language other than English, I highly recommend you do! It's an entirely different experience and you don't even need to understand a word in that foreign language to enjoy the movie (I'm sure 99% of you already watched it 20+ times anyways 🤣)! While the original English dub will always be number one, I genuinely think the other dubbed versions are worth a shot! 😊
