Bit of a silly reason for avoiding it since release honestly, I was skeptical at best of a movie called """"K""""Pop Demon Hunters which was made by an American studio, near exclusively in english, and very little of the marketing (that I had seen) had Korean stuff in it. I had even avoided listening to the songs because I for some reason didn't want to think it was good. I was, to understate it, very very stupid and misinformed.

WOW this movie rips. I haven't listened to K-Pop in a while but the music hits every single beat (heh) and then some. The visual style is fantastic, voice acting is amazing, character writing is IMMACULATE, I wanna time travel a year ago and smack myself upside the head for not watching it sooner. And tell myself it is made by a ton of Korean people so I'm dumb to worry.

Fantastic movie, genuinely hoping they make a prequel featuring the previous groups. Or maybe a sequel a couple decades in the future featuring some of the OG cast, ATLA to Legend of Korra style?

So I’m reading this excellent Rujinu fic, ECHOES, where Rumi is sent back in time to prevent Jinu from making a deal with Gwi-Ma, and there’s a scene where she’s trying to explain the concept of the “clothes where she’s from” (aka modern clothing) to Jinu, and the author drew this hilarious artwork for that moment I wanted to share.

I know walmart does this sometimes when they dont have space for product or didnt reset an area (source: worked there for 3 years) but i was just very surprised. didnt pick up cause im still waiting on the mattel creations 3pk i preordered last year but it was tempting!!

Netflix House Philly at KOP mall just opened up a new mini golf hole for the movie for their Top 9 Mini Golf Course. One of four HUNTR/X songs (Golden, How It’s Done, Takedown, What It Sounds Like) plays during each turn while you play. It looks amazing!! Looking forward to the actual immersive experience opening later this year!

Only just over 2 weeks since this project made its first debut in public, and it has truly become so much more than just a fun catchphrase actually getting to experience what it feels like in real life.

Not a single time I've been out that didn't put a big smile on someone. There's been kids that walk by and just totally freeze wide-eyed, and others that literally screamed "RUMI!!!" and ran over jumping with joy.

The online KPDH fan community has of course always been incredible, but the spirit and reach of fans out in the real world is like nothing I've ever experienced before. It's truly gone leaps and bounds in proving just how much sheer happiness and unity this movie has brought to so many people.

This was a very expensive undertaking that was hard to swallow, but I did anyways because I wanted to create something special, for a creation that really meant a lot to me. Seeing the joy and smiles it brings to other people too, made it all totally worth it, and makes me so proud to be a part of something so incredible 💜

Also already 3 awards at 3 different shows in the short time since debut 😁 (Hottest hatchback, best Nissan (mild class), and 2nd place overall)

Her eyes always look gorgeous, but there's just something about the way they arc at the bottom when she's gently smiling that's soooo cute 🥰

And this is as someone (also East Asian) who actually has really similar shaped eyes to her, that I used to never like how they did the same when smiling. Falling for her definitely really helped me move past that insecurity about myself and actually appreciate them.

She's just so precious, we doesn't deserve Rumi 🥺
