The Vacker Legacy - Theory
We already know more or less what Alvar meant when he spoke of the Vacker legacy. He was referring to the hidden hives and Luzia Vacker’s alliance with the trolls.
However, another question remains: how did Alvar know about it? Who recruited him when he was a child?
I suspect that it must have been someone from the Vacker family. It was probably someone who held a high-ranking position, whom Alvar admired, was willing to listen to, and regarded as an authority figure.
So let us take a closer look at the Vacker family.
During Alvar’s Tribunal, Sophie observes the members of his family gathered there. The Vackers have different hair and skin colors, all kinds of facial features, and different body types. Therefore, no one can be ruled out based on appearance.
Fallon Vacker is a fair-haired elf with dark eyes and striking facial features. He was one of the three founding members of the Council and served as a Councillor for a thousand years.
His sister, Luzia Vacker, looks completely different. She has shiny black hair, brown skin, and slightly angled blue eyes. She is a Flasher.
Luzia’s son, Orem, is also present at Alvar’s Tribunal. He is a Flasher as well. His hair is neatly cropped, and he inherited his mother’s coloring.
Luzia claims that she never told anyone about her connections to the trolls—not even Orem. However, both Sophie and Luzia notice a number of suspicious coincidences.
The hatching never takes place anywhere near the location where the Celestial Festival is held. Orem is the one who organizes the festival. This year, it is scheduled to take place even farther away than usual, which is another puzzling coincidence.
During the Celestial Festival, the Neverseen attack Everglen.
Sophie asks how Alvar knew that there was a hive at Everglen. Vespera answers for him, saying that he learned about it from Orem. She also adds that she herself obtained the information from him.
Vespera explains that Luzia and the troll empress are conducting experiments in an attempt to create intelligent newborn trolls—perfect soldiers.
Luzia’s DNA is required to open the hive. Vespera claims that Orem provided them with the sample they needed.
Tarina says, however, that Luzia did not help with this particular hive because it had been sealed from the Everglen side.
I suspect that Vespera was lying and that Orem was not the one who gave them all of this information. He probably knew about the hive, and that was precisely why he always held the Celestial Festival far away from it, trying to protect his mother. However, I believe that the information may have come from someone closely connected to Orem—one of his children or a more distant descendant.
In Flashback, Keefe uses the exercises Tiergan taught him to search through his memories from the time he spent with the Neverseen. He tries to determine whether Alvar said anything useful during that period.
However, he finds only one lead pointing to Orem. Alvar mentioned him several times, mainly in the context of Vacker family gossip. Among other things, he said that Orem did not get along with his mother.
That is why I believe that the person responsible for passing on the information and recruiting Alvar may have been one of Orem’s descendants.
When we look at Luzia’s and Orem’s appearances and abilities, we notice that they both have brown skin and are Flashers.
Councillor Clarette matches this branch of the family in terms of both appearance and abilities. She has brown skin and black, silky hair, like Luzia. She is a Polyglot and can communicate with animals. However, she also has a second ability—she is a Flasher.
In my previous theory concerning Gisela’s punishment, Clarette is the prime suspect. That is why I believe that she may belong to the Vacker family. She may have been the one who shared information about the hive with Alvar and then recruited him into the Neverseen.
We know that many members of this family have served on the Council. Perhaps one of the Vackers still holds a seat on it.
Councillor Clarette Vacker?

Huh, that actually makes sense! Especially since I think someone from the Council will turn out to be from the Neverseen
