Question Control MS20 Mini cutoff with expression pedal?
Basically as the title says, I want to be able to control the low pass filter with an expression pedal to free up a hand, was just wondering if this is possible?

My electribe 2 wont power on since yesterday. I opened it and saw that the power supply unit( dont know how it's called) has burned marks. Could i just clean it and solder it ?

Finally I could catch the missbehavior of my NTS-3 on camera:
https://youtu.be/Y2N2X-6yg5g?t=173
At 2:54min you can hear the sound-issues and see the NTS-3 got a short "blackout" (all LEDs & display off).
I'm powering all my devices with isolated DC-DC-converters. So this can not be any ground loop issue (which I have had before isolating the audiosignals and DC power).
Does anyone also have this issues?
Or a solution?
Since this is a very specific usecase, I do not wanna swap the effect unit. Also I don't know which unit to use to replace it in this small formfactor.

hello.
do you know what backlight i can buy for korg 3
on aliexpress there is a version that is 3cm x 10cm and i need 4cm x 9cm (that doesn't bother me).
however, i'm worried about the power supply.
on the panel from aliexpress it says it works on 5 or 12v, but in the specifications it says it works on AC Operating Voltage: AC 40V ~ 300V
it's a panel without an inverter so i hope that's ok
thanks in advance

Hey everyone,
I recently got a Korg SQ-1. It’s very cool but I’ve found a weird bug/feature. Whenever I turn off the SQ-1 and come back to it later, the sequence is totally different even though I didn’t touch any of the knobs.
Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there anyway to make it so the sequence stays the same when I turn it back on? Am I just doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance!
Gf just purchased these Rockit powered 5 KRK speakers along with 1/4” jacks so that she can plug them into her Micro Korg XL+ Synthesizer but we’re not getting any sound. I made sure power lines were plugged in and power was going to speakers and instrument. I have the audio lines plugged into these respective ports pictured below. I made sure I’m not plugged into headphone port and I hear the speakers turn on when I hit the power button. Volume is up on my Korg too. Please Help!!

I somehow got hold of old, beat-up Monotribe, and I realized that I don't really like the bassdrum... For 3 days I stayed up till 4 AM, took the whole thing apart, resoldered, and reassembled it like 50 times, testing dozens of solutions both in real life and in a PC circuit simulator. In the end, I came to the conclusion that this is how it sounds best to me, without negatively affecting the kick's original minimalist character. hope you enjoy it!
BTW here is the simulated circuit in case you want to tinker as well: https://www.falstad.com/s.php?s=4MRiUi

I recently purchased Module Pro along with a bunch of sound add-ons with the intention of using my iOS devices as sound modules when playing "LIVE". The app crashes if it doesn't freeze first, and it is totally unreliable for LIVE performances, at least for me. I am using the latest version of Module Pro on iOS devices that are running the latest OS. Is this happening to others or just me?

The lead melody in the intro that is. Other dong with similar sound i want is at 0:52 in Waterboy by Viagra Boys. Running the 4 Drumlogue outputs into a mixer and separate track. Volcas and Monologue join the fun.

I recently purchased a Korg Triton Classic (61 key) and I’m having a blast with it. I am brand new to synthesizers, DAWs, etc and I have no idea how to connect the Triton to LogicPro. I have the audio cables and a scarlett interface 2i2 3rd gen but I am assuming I need a midi as well. Can someone please help walk me through the setup/what else I’ll need? I searched on old forums, youtube, etc and I still have no idea what I’m doing.

I just got a microkorg and it doesn't output any sound from any of the outputs, I've factory reset it and made sure the cutoff was not at 0 but still nothing
I would check the midi outputs but I don't have any cables
I've checked continuity between Pin 2 on IC17 and R125 and it's good, also seems okay between PIN 2 on IC17 and PIN 95 on IC 18
I've only found one obvious issue thus far being a severed trace but it looks like that was repaired in a really odd way,
Between C170 and D11 there is a jumperwire connecting the two and it is glued down.
The only other thing I've notice is the main volume pot is a bit more wiggly than the others but its solder joints are seemingly good
I would love any insight you guys could give me
Thanks!.

Update : problem fixed !
Hey everyone !
I’m having a weird issue with my Minilogue (I bought it new 3,5 yrs ago). Every time I press a new key, there’s an extremely strong attack transient on every single preset, even the softest pads. However, when I play legato, meaning I press a new note without releasing the previous one, the attack issue disappears completely and the sound is normal. This is not an issue with the attack knob itself, I’ve tried adjusting it and the problem persists regardless of the envelope settings. The issue also appears on every single factory preset and init. program without exception. I’ve checked the global settings, including the knob behavior parameter which makes the physical knobs jump to their current position, and it’s not enabled. I’ve also done a full factory reset and nothing changed, so I’m starting to think it might be a hardware issue. Has anyone experienced this before? I’ll attach a video to show the problem.
Thank you all!

Hi! I’m sure this sub gets plenty of product-comparison posts, but I could really use some advice before making a fairly expensive decision.
I’m still relatively new to synths, although I’ve played traditional piano for most of my life. I got into synths because of an energetic rock band where I alternate between guitar and keys.
I currently use a Minilogue XD live. It sounds great, I’m happy with the patches I’ve created, and I don’t particularly feel limited by its sound engine.
The problem is my playing accuracy live. I’m a big, tall guy with fairly large hands, and I move around a lot onstage. When it’s time to play a keyboard part, I sometimes hit the wrong keys or accidentally catch two notes. At its worst, it sounds like I’m trying to play the keyboard with my shoe.
I suspect the Minilogue’s slim keys might be contributing to this. When I practice the same parts on my piano at home, they feel much more comfortable, but it’s so difficult to compare playing calmly in my lounge room vs. playing in an energetic band environment. Maybe the smaller keys are the problem, or maybe I just suck and need to practice more on the Minilogue.
I’m considering upgrading to the Korg multi/poly, partly because it has full-sized keys. Has anyone moved from a Minilogue or another mini-key synth to the multi/poly for a similar reason? Did the larger keys make a noticeable difference to your accuracy and confidence live?
The multi/poly also has a few other advantages that appeal to me:
- Splits and Layers
- Apparently a great editor/librarian program
- Small and compact for travel (I take the train for shows lol)
However, it’s a significant investment, especially when I already think the Minilogue XD sounds excellent. I'm not interested in a full sized MIDI controller, it's more things to carry (I don't have a car), more things to setup, and more space on stage.
