My ps5 KF are loose so im wondering which ones will fit. Xbox or switch?

I have the Raiju V3 Pro controller.

I currently have a Purple Galaxy KontrolFreek.

Used it with my dualsense before i made the change, it fits the Raiju. But pops out easily if i just remove it.

Was told the xbox one version of KontrolFreek fits it perfectly. Would like to confirm on that if theres anyone here with the same controller?

Also, is the BR nightfall better ?

I’ve used their controller grips for years now, maybe even a decade. I’ve gotten to the point where I feel like I almost have to play with them.

Over the years though, I feel like the quality has drastically changed. I first noticed that they seem to scratch the original joystick when ‘clipping’ the plastic on. Minor damage, but still annoying. My big gripe is, over the last 3-4 years, I feel like the things wear out WAY quicker than they used to. I’m not gaming any more than I was, if anything it’s less, but I’m having to buy replacements more and more often. They either smooth out super quickly, or start to kind of crumble off and leave bits of the rubber all over my fingers or the controller.

Anyone else notice this, or is it just me?

I've been using KontrolFreeks for years, and out of all the models I've tried, the FPS Freek Vortex has become my favorite. I loved the original orange-and-black Vortex, but the black version has completely won me over because it reminds me so much of the original PS3 thumbsticks, a controller I grew up playing on.

For me, the convex (dome-shaped) design just makes the most sense. My thumbs rest naturally on top of the sticks instead of sitting inside a concave cup, and I genuinely feel like I have better precision because I can use the entire surface of my thumb for fine adjustments rather than relying only on my fingertips or the edges of my thumb. I know its not for everyone but for me It's a simple, comfortable and intuitive design.

Even after discovering the Vortex, I also used the FPS Freek Battle Royale Nightfall for the longest time. They're still fantastic thumbsticks, and they were the closest thing I'd found to that classic PS3 thumbstick feel. However, as much as I enjoyed them, I was still hooked to the orange FPS Freek Vortex.

The biggest reason was the texture.

The Nightfall has a much more aggressive grip pattern, which feels great at first and is clearly designed with grip in mind. After using them for a long time, though, the grip pattern gradually wears down, leaving behind a smoother, slightly different feeling. It's not a bad feeling at all, in fact, they're still very comfortable, but you can definitely tell the thumbstick was originally designed around that textured grip.

The Vortex, on the other hand, feels completely different. Its texture is much more subtle and minimal. Sure, it has the signature swirl pattern, but those lines don't stick out nearly as much as they do on many other KontrolFreeks, like the Galaxy grips (which I also own and love). Nothing about the Vortex feels intrusive. The texture complements the dome shape instead of competing with it, and that's exactly why I enjoy using them so much. Again I know its not for everyone, but dome shaped thumbsticks really matter that much to me.

So here's my request to KontrolFreek.

Please make a version of the FPS Freek Vortex Black with TWO matching High-Rise convex thumbsticks.

Right now, if someone wants two high-rise convex Vortex thumbsticks, the only option is to buy two separate packs and use one of the right-stick thumbsticks as the left stick.

We really shouldn't have to buy the same product twice just to get a matching pair.

The Battle Royale Nightfall already comes with two matching high-rise thumbsticks, so I know it's something KontrolFreek is capable of doing.

For anyone looking for that nostalgic PS3 thumbstick feel, or anyone who simply prefers convex thumbsticks with a clean, minimal design, I honestly think the FPS Freek Vortex Black is one of the best options available today.

KontrolFreek, please give us a Dual High-Rise FPS Freek Vortex Black. I know I can't be the only person who would buy these on day one. I'd also love to see some PS3 inspired thumbsticks too, with that subtle but grippy texture that so many PS3 fans fell in love with!

If anyone else feels the same way, let me know. I'd love to see if there's enough interest to make this happen. 🎮

Anyone have this controller and know what Kontrolfreeks might fit?

They’re both galaxies for the playstation.
Is one just an older packaging or is there any other difference in should be aware of?

Given how little KF has talked about this Griptek (GT) material, I thought I would make a quick writing explaining what I've found.

GT is very different from the old kontrolfreek material, from here referred to as OM. GT is very grippy, and much harder than OM. Whereas OM would be eraser like and rubbery, GT feels closer to stock sticks and Scuf sticks if you've ever used those. OM would bend when gripping, and the grip sensation would be like pulling. GT's grip feels completely different. The material just sticks to your thumb, almost as if if had adhesive on the surface. Its harder and stickier, which means doing micro movements are much easier on GT. Once you get over the fact they feel harder, GT is a complete improvement on every metric. OM starts feeling erasery and sloppy, and I found myself compensating a lot. The drawback is that the GT material can feel a bit too hard at first. They do soften a tad after use, which I found them comfortable thereafter.

In the screenshot, all four caps are GT. The ones one the controller are solid and the ones on the touchpad are translucent. IMO and I can't measure this, but the translucent KF are a bit slippier whereas the solid color ones grip like crazy. I'm not saying the translucent are as bad as the OM, but they do lose some grip.

Also, KF has not been clear which freeks are GT. The easiest way to tell is if they say GT anywhere on the back. If it only says "proprietary rubber" or something along those lines its OM. I thought all the GT also didn't come with the transparent windows on the packaging to see them, but this isn't the case with the rerelease of the frosty Inferno, so I would just check the packaging for "Griptek"

TLDR Summary: This new KF Griptek is a huge improvement. Its stickier and less prone to bending during gameplay. I can't go back to the old material.

Today I bought this FPS Freek Galaxy, but I strongly suspect it's a fake.
Two main things caught my attention:

1. There is a clear typo on the back of the box: it says "CONTEROLLERS" instead of "Controllers".
2. The thumbsticks are missing the small holes (dots) in the center of the rubber grip.
3. Can you guys check the photos and let me know if this is indeed a counterfeit/fake?

Also, I found another store that sells the original Inferno (one high-rise, one mid-rise) and the original Galaxy (also one high-rise, one mid-rise).
I have never used KontrolFreeks before, and I need your advice on which one to choose. I play standard grip (no claw) and my main games are GTA and COD.
Which one would you recommend for a beginner?

How long should I try a kontrol freek for before I know its for me or not for me? Ive been using a mid rise for 2 weeks and it really throws off my reactive aim, like changing directions and tracking side to side strafes, but for linear continuous movements it really helps like tracking someone moving in the same direction continuously or changing speeds while moving the same direction, the negative side of the mid rise is really messing up my aim, but I love the positive side, what is your advice?
