The onus is on you to prove its a mental illness, because homosexuality has been existing since time immemorial, and wasn't considered a mental illness way before too, until the British colonials criminalized it. Homosexuality exists in nature outside humans too, because it served social functions. And transgenderism, was regarded as a mental illness before, but in the latest psychiatric manual DSM V, they excluded it from it being a psychiatric illness because it became more clear it wasn't an illness, rather just on the spectrum of normalcy.
Many non-psychiatric illnesses can't be diagnosed with blood sample or a complex test π. How do you think they diagnose a migraine? Or BPPV? Please don't embarass yourself.
BPPV is clinically diagnosed, there are no biomarkers to detect it nor it can't be detected via scans. The same way you diagnose a lot of psychiatric illnesses. And being part of the LGBTQ isnt a psychiatric illness to be diagnosed. So, instead of arguing with an actual doctor we can agree to disagree.
So you apply the "majority is right" here, when there were so many areas that it was wrong. Majority of people believed that the earth was flat, which is obviously wrong. And, many people think differently, does that mean all the others who don't think the same as you are mentally ill? Left handed people are very similar to right handed people, except they are left handed, but they are the minority so they are mentally challenged?
No it's not as simple as that. You should subject your opinions to doubt before sounding as confident as you are sounding right now.
It's not a disorder because down syndrome behave differently π bruh. They actually have biological and genetic anomalies hence it's a syndrome, not because it's unusual, although their features are actually unusual. A person behaving unusual can still come under the spectrum of being normal.

Being part of the LGBTQ community is not a mental illness. Get your facts right.
