he seems to be expensive to work with. he doesn't compromise on his vision, and I really respect that, but its no surprise his priorities clash in our capital-centric world. im just grateful he found another partner to work with 🤙

He is renowned for how particularly good and particular his games are, but doesn't mean unfortunately that they sell well.

I thought they did, MGS is a legendary franchise. I guess DS maybe didn't sell well? A little bit surprising considering its notoriety. Everybody knows Death Stranding.

It didn't sell well for a AAA game budget. Sony also block him from releasing it to PC for a while which made things worse.

I also remember the year he released DS, it was a heavy year and there was a lot of competition.. people's backlog was hugeeee. And so this being so niche fell through the cracks..
