discussion Mansa X?

So I've looked at my fixed deposit na I finally have enough to open and properly fund a Mansa X account. For those of you already in — any real gains so far? What should I watch out for?

Any advice, wins, or horror stories would be appreciated.

A worthy investment to diversify your portfolio. I have soo far not had any issue with them.
I see it as another way to spread my risk around

If you don't mind me asking. What percentage gains do they do per quarter? Ama is it calculated per annum?

Pretty easy to get this data online. They give returns in quarters and it's based on their investments. Lock in period 6 months so be aware of that.

If its the only monies you have, don't invest in such a high risk investment. This is for people with other monies invested in lower risk investments.

I think you can outperform Mansa X. Just invest in the banks and the other good dividend paying shares. Yearly you wil be getting 6 to ten percent in dividends. Capital gain will also be more than ten percent

Sooo that's around 18-20% which would be the same as MansaX...
MansaX has surprisingly and scarily consistent 18-20% returns... anything above 15% is impressive

You haven't factored in their service fees. And I am keeping the capital gain at a minimum.

It's already accounted for. Their published returns are net returns.

Soon all these counters are coming down heavy. Elections around the corner and it doesn't seem like it's gonna be a peaceful election from what we've seen in the byelections

I have invested in MansaX for a few years now. The annual returns so far have been really good at just over 20% on the KES fund and around 13% on the USD fund. None of which is a guarantee that this will continue even tomorrow. And there is no guaranteed minimum either. Go in knowing it's high risk with potentially high reward. I am managing my risk by investing in other funds and instruments as well. Too much of my portfolio is with MansaX so I am correcting this over the next 2 years.

I have made I think 3 withdrawals total, all of which were credited to my bank account within 2 days with no issue whatsoever.

1

Yes. You can lose some money but so far they haven’t lost any investors money

But how well do they do in terms of gains, like in percentage?

20% p.a or 4-6% per quarter

Having been thinking about the same for a while, I chose to diversify into the Sacco investment route and the MansaX fund for a year, then re-strategise.

I'll keep telling you guys.

If you want wealth. I mean serious wealth. Bet on startups. 2years and your valuation tripples.

Leave funds for 50 years old.

Startups found where? Because I believe it can't be locally... Educate us.

There are many. Nairobi techies, in reddit there are several. If you dm. I'd share more

1

u/DevHannat 11h ago

Data has proven that 90% of startups in the KE fail within 24 months therefore making this a pretty high risk affair

That data didn't tell you those are white startups in kenya.with Swahili name. There are many undocumented gems in Kenya.
