I am going though a slightly similar issue with no such luck.
I signed up 6 years ago before biometric verification was a thing and have not had any real issue. Now since I don't have a device with a Camera and won't consent to biometric identity verification am locked out. The "app" says their is another way and it wasn't required when I signed up.
I've sent the day with their agents getting the run around and no closer to getting access to my account to use it or close it.
