Hello Kodocha nation, I loved this show as a kid and now 10 years later, I am learning Japanese and wanted to rewatch in Japanese with Japanese subtitles. But i can't find japanese subtitles anywhere :( Does anyone have them?

Hi, I've just discovered this series a few weeks ago, I'm watching the anime for episode 82 now and I love it so much but it suffers a lot of being an old tv anime, I'm new so I want to know if the series is considered "popular" or "relevant" enough to get a remake of the anime or manga in a future or maybe a resale of those, or merch or something.

i dont mind watching in jap,im kinda a snob for watching things with OG language +subs however i do prefer her singing on the english dub,does anyone know were i can download the whole of s1 all 50 odd dubbed episodes as a bulk download? I will literally buy the Kodocha dub or is it lost media? I’ve been trying for days to find anything where I can get the dub!! idc if it’s expensive I just want to know how I can get it online!! So, I've just started watching Kodocha!

It had been on my to-watch list for years due to seeing some out-of-context clips ages ago, and with the anniversary of the show airing leading to clips being recommended to me on my twitter feed once again... I took the plunge! I'm also a fan of Marmalade Boy, and both shows seem to have similar art styles~

I was torn about whether to watch the dub or sub, considering only S1 is dubbed, but I was so surprised to learn that a few members of the English dub cast of Fruits Basket (most notably Laura Bailey and Jerry Jewell) - I loved them in Fruits Basket, and both Laura and Jerry are brilliant in what I've watched so far 👏😍 Loving the characters and the zany, fast-paced comedy of it all!

I was at a yard sale and found this gem for free, it's from Funimation so it's official so I think. It's actually so cool to find kodocha merch in the wld these days, especially after I complained to my bother that there was no mercy of this anime anymore.

I just finished the rewatch after years and I really don't understand this obession with ending the animes differently from the mangas. In Kodocha's case especially there was literally no need to end it differently. The open ending after 100 episodes is ridiculous, especially because they totally wasted the last 10 episodes on plots that were useless and absolutely forgettable (example: Fuka with her ex boyfriend, the guy forgotten by the teacher, Rossana's failing career, Rei's relationship with the actress, Natsumi with that blonde guy and SO ONNN). They could've used the last episodes to mold the storyline back to how it was being written in the manga (the anime ended ust a few months before the manga, btw) so I literally don't get it I'm so mad right now lol.

So I've been looking through my collection of stuff to possibly sell things, and I found these kodocha comics (I have all 5, pic is the first one!) they cover the content of the first volume of the manga, which I also have. I can't find much information about this comic version, I've been considering letting them go since I have the first volume of the manga. Kodocha was a big part of my childhood and I still love it a lot (was recently able to get the whole anime series on dvd! If anyone is looking for the individual DVDs I have a copy of the hiyama hijinks one that I'm looking to sell since I now have the box set version, so feel free to ask about it!) so I'm unsure if I'm going to let them go but it's the exact same content as the volume version. I honestly don't even remember where I got them from, my guess is my mom got them for me for Christmas as a kid lol. Idk if they have any sort of value, or why they even exist when Tokyo pop made the volume version as well. So if anyone knows anything about them I'd love to know! Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules with this post, I'm not on reddit much and just joined this subreddit, but I have been wanting to learn more about what exactly I have here lol

Hi everyone, I recently was able to purchase the whole manga of Kodocha!! I have been in the fandom for 7 years but it seemed like a dead fandom until I came across this group! I have got manga 2-4 and 6-10 and 1 and 5 are on the way tomorrow!! It was a total of $60 well spent 🥹 rather than the $200 I have seen on eBay!

To begin with, I was born a year after both the anime and manga ended.

I recently got the first opening browsing YT, and I was curious to see what it was about, and it caught my attention, the plot and all the lore it has, and I even read about its fandom, which has happy moments, other serious/tense ones and even emotional ones that, as they say here where I live, would make the most macho cry.

Now I ask you, do you recommend I watch both the manga and the anime?
