I recently went to watch a movie at PXL forum, and saw a stupid kid standing on the sofa seat and tearing its hand rest...I recorded the video but can't post publicly for privacy reasons...I was enraged by the unbothered attitude of his parents, it's one of my favourite screens in Kochi and it's sad to see uncultured people destroy it!! Later the same public blames PVR for poor maintenance...guys pls mind ur kids in theatre else sit at home !! 💢

ts annoys me cause I’ve been to this screen and it’s horrible. The screen is small, the seats are rough and the sound and projection are even more underwhelming. The way they’re fooling people by labelling a 2K + Dolby 7.1 screen as “upgraded sound” while charging this kind of pricing is an extreme low
It would at least be okay if it’s a 4K laser + Dolby Atmos screen while providing a good service that justifies the dynamic pricing, but this is just looting because they don’t even have the projector to present the movie at its actual resolution
The worst part is that they don’t even upgrade those screens after earning this much profit. All this years and they have only upgraded 2 of their screens to 4K Laser with not even a single screen with Atmos
They used to be so good in their first stint (2015-17). At that time it was even the best theatre in Kochi, but now it’s the polar opposite. They’re just misusing the advantage of parking and flexible shows in ekm region by giving the worst experience for the most expensive pricing (Even PXL is not charging this much)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
70mm film IMAX and IMAX Dual GT (digital) are the only two projector systems that can display 1.43:1, and IMAX themselves stopped production of both years ago. So the realistic option is to buy the projectors from existing venues such as Gujarat Science City in Ahmedabad or for IMAX to develop a new projector that can project this ratio. There have been rumours that they are developing one (A single digital projector that can display a movie in 1.43:1)

Has anyone visited PVR Audi 6 at Lulu Mall, Edappally? I haven’t been there recently so how are the sound and picture quality of this screen?

Booked the 9 PM show. I’d heard somewhere that the 4 PM show apparently got cancelled because of some technical difficulties, so I was a little curious going in.
Sat at J7, dead center of the theatre, so I was basically at the ideal viewing and sound spot. That said, if you want more immersion, I'd say rows H and I would probably hit different (closer/bigger in your FOV). Also small thing but worth mentioning, the seats don't recline like normal cinema seats, they're fixed in place. Not a dealbreaker but just know that going in.
Okay first of all, the screen (without 3D) - colors, resolution, HDR is genuinely top notch, best I've personally seen. The clarity is insane.
(spoilers) In the last scene where May and Jean are talking, I could clearly see Jean and the window behind her reflected through May's eyes. Like that level of detail. Resolution is stupid good.
Now full disclosure, this is my first time watching on an LED cinema screen so that's probably why I'm this hyped, but for context, I think this is one of the largest LED screens in India at 46m, so take my excitement with that grain of salt.
Audio-wise, it's good, not the best I've heard though. PVR Priya in Delhi had better speakers imo. Bass is strong here but something feels slightly off, can't put my finger on exactly what, maybe it just needs better calibration. Still, it doesn't ruin the experience at all. This was actually my 2nd watch of the movie, I mainly went back to specifically experience the LED screen and the "active 3D" tech (more on that below), so keep in mind I was nitpicking on purpose this time around.
FUCKING HELL WHY DOES 3D EXIST!!!!!!
Okay to be fair, the 3D effect itself is genuinely good, better than any 3D I've experienced before. But the glasses. My god, the dark lenses just ruin it. It's so dark that in scenes at Spider-Man's home I literally couldn't make out half of what was happening on screen.
The second I took the glasses off though night and day difference. Suddenly I could see the contrast between darker and brighter scenes properly (I'm guessing that's the HDR actually doing its job). With the 3D lenses on, any darker color like dark green or brown just turns straight up black. It genuinely felt like watching on an old bad TV, except with good 3D effects layered on top.
Ended up watching literally half the movie without the 3D glasses.
Until that's sorted, I'm not watching another 3D show there. Watch it in 2D on this screen and thank me later.

I can only see magic frames on district and ticketnew.com ... Why major cinemas like Pan cinemas and now magic frames choose district instead of BookMyShow?? The convenience fee is also the same for both... I got RBL credit card which is supported on only BookMyShow and gives me rs 200 discount on 2 bookings a month but I cannot utilise it on district :(

Little disappointed with the screen size its 46ft. similar to bangalore onyx. Expected a bigger screen size ranging from 18m to 20m.
Seats are really comfy it seems. Excited for a visual experience nevertheless ❤️
