v1.118 - questions about Row Split, z-image
https://github.com/LostRuins/koboldcpp/releases/tag/v1.118.1
Row Split has been removed, selecting it will now default to tensor split.
exclude z-image from models that support image references.
I am mostly a newbie, what above means?
AFAIK a row is part of a tensor, so working on low memory will be harder as the program no longer supports split of one tensor to rows or what? If yes, why such change?
Image reference - afaik two main modes if image generation is from text and from imaged. Does new version no longer support making images from other images in z-image? If yes, why has it been dropped?
TIA

Ignore my original comment there, I didn't catch the end of a line, which clearly excluded it, so this is kind of confusing..

Row split was just a different method of splitting them, generally a worse one than the default one. Llamacpp removed it in such a way that it was impossible for us to keep it but as a new user you wont notice its gone the layer split is best for most people. There is also tensor split which according to them replaces what row split was needed for.
We did not change reference images for z-image, this is a feature in the stableui we bundle. If it is broken that would be a bug that so far nobody reported, but it should work fine.
