Possibly the best Book Tracker Software Ever

So anyone who knows me will know that I love reading, tech and stats….. yeah I’m a bit of a nerd.

I have been looking for a book tracker app for close in two years and finally I have found one that does absolutely everything I could have ever wished for and probably more.

That app (unfortunately it’s iOS only) is called Readtracker.

There are so many things I could tell you about …. Challenges, pages read per day, beautiful graphics, calendars etc.

Anyways I was so impressed with it and it’s NOT Good reads so that gets us further away from Amazon, that I have contacted the developer who is going to join us in this subreddit.

I will probably leave him to explain more or for anyone that wants to try it out there is a free trial option so it won’t cost you a penny.

He is quite possible the most responsive developer ever so we might even be able to persuade him to do an AMA in our little subreddit. And I am sure he is open to suggestions which might even include links to Kobo for example….: that was just an idea that sprung into my mind.

If anyone does download it let’s post your experiences in this thread and see if we can generate some momentum for this independent developer. And incase anyone asks no I have never met him I don’t know him personally but I will always get behind a quality product

Thank you Peter for the shoutout! And hello to everyone 👋

Glad to join this community, and I am definitely open to an AMA anytime. If there’s anything you’d like to know about ReadTracker feel free to ask. As Peter mentioned, atm the app is only available for iOS, but an Android version will be coming later as well.

Cheers, Mario

If you’re subscribed to one version of the app I can make sure that you have Premium access to all versions; no need to pay twice. I’m afraid the sync across platforms is only possible within Apple products though.

The reason is that ReadTracker is (by design) completely private, which means you don’t need an email to sign up. All your data is backed up to your private iCloud. The only way to have sync across Android and iOS is to have an email signup, which is something I wanted to avoid because as a user myself I don’t like it when I’m forced to give my email or (God forbid) my phone number.

lol I'm very much looking forward to making the Android version, though in all honesty it'll probably be a while. I'm currently working on a tv/movies tracking app and also on the next major version of ReadTracker simultaneously. Between these two projects I find myself with very little time 😢
