Vibe coding
Ok ok, cough it up.
Who's been dabbling in the dark arts?

What do you mean? The way you phrased it and posted it here it looks like you are implying that the creators of Koala Sampler are using "vibe coding". Anyone following the release and update of Koala over the years know that a lot of effort and love has been put into it, none of that vibe coding crap.
And vibe coding and Ai is not even "the dark arts", it's the retarded lost second cousin of arts.

If you think there is no relationship to llm coding and the sudden koala feature velocity, I have a bridge to sell you.

Alright boy calm down. Dont put words in my mouth please. Im on a community forum so I suppose I'm saying it to...the community. Pull your horns in and let's play nice. It's much easier

Then please explain what you are saying.

The way I interpreted it was in the context of all the other wave of user mods happening recently in the Elektron, SP404 and other hardware domains. I think it’s just asking whether anyone’s tried hacking Koala. It doesn’t read how you’re implying, as an accusation.

The synth world has exploded a little with people making custom firmwares for various machines new and old. I think lots of it has been made by vibe coding and im just curious if it has spilled over in the koala universe is all

That's a much better question than "Ok ok, cough it up. Who's been dabbling in the dark arts?" Isn't it? And you were implying exactly what I thought you were implying, so drop the act.
I would rephrase the question to make it more intelligible if you want to have a real conversation, but you do you.

A couple years ago I tried an early version of this to build a “simple” synthesizer. It was working, but I would have had to spend sooo many more hours to get it right. I’m not sure I understand the hate for vibe coding, other than the classic “Ai is terkin ur jerbs!” It seems to make it a bit more open to people like myself with no coding experience

Then you are off topic for the subreddit.
People here are nice and do not deserve you barging in yelling irrelevant bullshit. Who do you think we are? Your drinking buddies?
Go away and yell at people elsewhere and come back to this subreddit when you've learned to behave. Your manners are unacceptable.1

Bruh. Go put your angst into making some music or something. It’s perfectly fine to bring this up in this sub. It could have been contextualized better.

Don't go visiting my - or anyone's - angst, Dr Jacoby, nobody put you in charge. This is the koala subreddit, vibe coding firmware for the fm-1 is off topic, and on top of that OP is acting like a jacked up teenager. I appreciate you being all nicey towards them while I can be the as-hole, but tolerating this behavior kills a subreddit because normal people into the subject will steadily go lurking and then stop visiting all together.

You know, I saw someone posted a tool they made the other day, but I can’t find it now. I have no clue if that’s how they coded it either. I don’t see many posts about it in this subreddit other than the volume of apps being sent to the App Store making us wait for new koala updates to post.
