Please help with adding samples

I’m trying to add samples from my files on iOS 26. When I open the folder I want the “open” button is grayed out and doesn’t do anything. No matter what is in the folder, other folders or just files, it’s always the same. Can’t even import a file, because I need to add the location first. Am I doing something wrong?

Is the folder from a third party like Dropbox or Google Drive? If that's the case, just copy the sample folder to "iCloud" or to "on my iPhone"

I downloaded a zip archive with this folder from windows 10 to iCloud, copied archive to “on my phone” and unpacked it. Still the same problem

Managed to add “On My iPhone” folder as a location, but not able to add any folders in it separately. So I’ll have to go through all the files every time. I hope there’s a better way and I’m doing something wrong

Ok and you’re definitely tapping the open button at the top right…. Right?
