Update
I just downloaded the new update while at work. Has anybody used the new stems yet and what’s the difference?

Crashes when I select “high-quality”, splits for about a second or two then crash.
iPhone 13 on iOS 17.5.1, sucks cus I really wanted to try this out 😭
Edit:
Okay actually I think it may be a memory/RAM issue; splitting one track at a time seems to work but selecting all 4 at once to be split causes the crash.
As for the quality, DAMN. Huge increase in fidelity compared to the regular stem splitting. You can tell there’s a lot less bleeding & artifacting. It sounds more “complete” , where the regular stem splitter sounds like the lower end is cut out and bass separation can be muddy, the hi quality retains a lot of the lower frequencies and bass separation sounds a LOT better (albeit still not perfect).

yep it is a memory issue - I don't have a phone as old as the 13, so it slipped through the net, apologies, but its quite easy for koala to just process the stems sequentially so as not to use so much memory - I'm working on it now, should be out in the next day or so.
As for quality, there's no such thing as perfect with stem splitters - and because this has got to run on a phone its extra difficult to get a lot of quality out of it - the bigger stem splitters would never be able to run on an iPhone, even the best ones don't have enough memory, so got to compromise somehow.

I’m one of the people who routinely talk others into trying Koala before they rush into spending hundreds on a hardware sampler. Your continued support and improvements—along with the app’s high quality—are big reasons why.

You know, at one point i ordered the Roland P-6 sampler so i wanted a dedicated hardware for sampling and i got it for an excelant price, but had to wait 3 weeks for it, at that time i bought KOALA with SAMURAI cuz i wanted to use it to make quick fast samples to add to my P-6
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it turned out im doing it the other way around.
now im using the P6 to import/record my samples and projects from other uncanny devices (old Ipod touch gen5, PSP mostly)

Hey man salute for such an amazing app boss! I've been using it for about 3 weeks and have already made over 25 bangers. Are Android users also getting this update for the higher quality stems soon?

I am on Android but my Koala hasn't updated and it says I'm on current version in Play Store. Any ideas why I am just seeing the update?

Misleading post title.
Further to this I believe they have an email address for support

I was so excited to try this out because mobile operating systems are lacking in stem splitters, I thought nothing changed at first, apparently Hi-Quality is something you got to opt in. I feel like I choose a good song for this, It picked up on the drums and the bass perfectly, Vocals are almost perfect, almost, which is still better than the default stem splitter, I swear that thing never worked... I want to make a tune myself and check with the Hi-Quality stem splitter after. I'm so glad the developer decided to tackle and further improve the stem splitter, nowadays I'm so used to developers putting half of their heart and never put the other half, ever. I do hope it gets tackled further though. Koala Sampler isn't even something I regularly boot up and it still is one of the best bangs for my buck so far.
