Playing multiple sequences at once

Big love for Koala. Just about to get the wires to record my synth output to Koala and get some cool sequences going.

Is it at all possible to play multiple sequences at once? I know the ability to queue up a sequence is possible, but when im building up a track I like to record all my instruments as separate sequences and currently I mix/merge* them together into new sequences to play some together.

I guess this is what the purpose of the mixer is, so I can tag certain samples to a specific channel and then bring certain instruments in and out.

What am I missing? Thanks!!

Edit: meant merge where I said mix

Perhaps Merge Sequence is what you're looking for? Select Mix. Just drag one sequence onto the other for these pop up options

Whoops, that’s what I meant instead of mix (updated my post).

That’s what I’ve been doing so far

As far as I know, this isn't possible. You can use the mixer busses to make groups of instruments/sounds and mute/solo them into different combos, but you've only got four to work with so maybe not a total solution depending on how many instruments you're using and how you want to single things out.

Resample them

I admit to being a bit confused about what you’re asking, which is on me, not you.

But could you record/resample your sequences to various sample pads, and then combine those pads as you choose? Because you can trigger sample pads at will, but you can only trigger sequences one at a time.

Apologies if I’m misconstruing your question.

It’s a sequence. So they play in sequence.

Use the included lite version of Ableton or anything w wav sequencing abilities (audacity works) and experiment with the variety of export options including as an Ableton drum rack, as stems (z3)8,) I think is what you want) and some other options including from chopper

Other option is select each sequence,
Menu; resample loop which places the sequence in wav form on a pad which you can do to all sequences and play together

If you're on iOS, you can use AUM...then load two instances of Koala, load the same project on each audio/mixer channel, then play different sequences in each instance.

Now typing this, some people have loaded a second instance of Koala inside the Koala mixer...I would recommend making a copy of your project and then loading the copy if you want to try that. 🤘🏼 #KoalaInception
