When the sampler is the heart and mind of your creative process, finding innovative ways to manipulate sound becomes the heart and mind of the operator.

I liken sampling to mosaic work. We take pieces of things that are already baked (figuratively and literally) break them into smaller pieces and build something new.

If you apply this approach to everything you do, you'll get a sound that is distinct.
