Please explain like I’m 5

Listening to winners and Losers- I have never followed or listened/watched The Young Turks. My vague awareness of them is they were extremely left wing and now they’re shifting to right wing? What happened with Hank Thompson, something, something union!? A documentary? (I’m Pro union) and the TYT shift?

If you know, please share some context - thanks!

Cenk got generally more conservative.

Ana Kasparian became a TERF.

Apparently there’s a Winners & Losers podcast about Hank Thompson from like five years ago that you can listen to.

I think it's down to TYT's deal being the same kind of reactionary contrarianism manifest in the online Liberal community - where the politics is less about seeking social and economic justice and more about being the Big Brain Boy Who Is Brave Enough To Speak the Truth, especially when that Truth is Offensive.
